not a sketch, but a sequence and its been a year at least, maybe more im not even sure at this point.

happened to me as well it was a pricy sequence. the guy ended up refunding me

longest I ever took to do a pic for someone was 4-5 weeks, and that was cuz I had no power for 2 weeks cuz of Hurricane Sandy.

I dont have tons of people lining up to commission me, so the people who do commission me, I treat them like friends :3 (which aint hard when most of the people commissioning me already are my close friends)

Happens to me a lot when I commission someone, but usually they thank me for being patient and not having a fit lol

well there is a difference between request and commissions, so your situation is completely different XD

It recently happened to me. I knew the artist was going through some personal stuff during the time and i felt a bit guilty to do so but eventually i just asked him for a refund.

The one who gets commissioned should contact the commissioner for stuff like this... IMO ~

Yes. Most memorable was a major commission. Then the artist ran into some severe RL trouble, health and other-wise; virtually disappeared off the 'net as well as furry sites & email. Figured they were having enough to deal with, that this wuff didn't need to add to the trouble by bugging for completion or refunds.

It's been a very long time, but they're making a comeback now, and getting back in touch. Every possibility that the art will still be finished one day. For that, this wuff is grateful. But given the circumstances of that instance, even if it couldn't be finished, wuff would just write that one off too "sometimes, life sucks". At least the funding for the comish helped them out some when they really needed it.

Wuff's also had smaller commissions go for weeks, sometimes, even a month or so, when the artist is really stacked up. But Vargr rather anticipated those by the normal completion flow of said artists, and the number of projects ahead of wuffy's art.

Don't get wuffy wrong - they aren't all slow. Vargr's had plenty of artists deliver same day, or in hours (normally on those "streaming live" commissions). And some artists are amazingly fast on production; they just crank things out! But wuffy realizes that most of those on FA and similar sites do this as a hobby, and have "real life" jobs and other such things to deal with. So wuff is quite willing to cut them some slack he wouldn't otherwise if wuff were dealing with a full-time business, or needed a particular deadline met that was established at the start of the contract.
