Vegemite vs Marmite vs Peanut Butter, told by a true Aussie.

Okay, so over the past few weeks I've met a whole bunch of new people, and a few common questions I get asked are about vegemite(because Aussie=vegemite, apparently.)
So I just wanna set a few things straight =P
What the hell IS vegemite, anyway?!?!
Basically, its the left over stuff from beer brewing. With lots and lots of salt.
It looks like Marmite, I hate marmite, therefore I hate vegemite.
NO. I hate marmite as well, but looove vegemite, so no. I think marmite is sweeter? I don't really remember.
Its banned in America so thats why we dont have it.
Actually, this is just a rumour. Started by us Aussies, I believe. It is availabe in some shops and stuff, so yes. And anyway, its owned by Kraft, an American company =P
I heard if you eat peanut butter you hate Vegemite, and vice versa.
This one is just ridiculous =P No I wouldn't eat them at the same time, but i do love me some peanut butter.
So erm yeah. There you have it.
And remember, spread it thin. Reaaally thin. See this picture on Wikipedia?

My partner drinks Tooheys extra dry, and says its the only beer he likes.
But I'unno, it all tastes the same to me =P
rather than the super peanut butter/vegemite taste combination i was hoping for, i got more of an alternating flavour. like i had two sandwiches and was taking bites from each.
Now I wonder what would happen if they were blended together.
