Just over a year ago, I befriended a guy in the same town as me. He had many of my same interests in games, movies, even music and books so it was a perfect friendship.

But I was scared. I was scared because though I hadn't really spoken much with him, the few times we were hanging out I realized I was falling for him, even if I didn't want to admit it. To me, you have to know someone very well before you ask them out.

However, upon the advice of a friend, I decided that I had to act. So one year ago today, I took a leap of faith and dove into my first relationship with someone I wasn't all too familiar with.

And here I am a year later, still happily dating , knowing more about him than ever and still learning. I've never been happier.
