They actually are bitching about having to play from the discs instead of installing the games on the system. :I

im pretty sure they will keep it an option to install the game to shorten load times and such but still require it to start the game like it is now with the current 360.

Congrats to consumers, for getting to Microsoft and explaining exactly how stupid such policies were in the first place.

yeah but now cause of it, xbox one is losing some of its cooler features. like the family/friend share plan with up to 10 people. and the publisher online hub where you can sell your digital games.

I honestly don't think those features could possible be worth the consumer rights violations inherent in the X1's original design.

I'd rather give my friends and family the discs to borrow if it means I can play games offline.
Publisher hub means jack all to me. Couldn't care less.

And the thing is, you really don't need DRM to have the family sharing feature. It would be simple to just include a voucher for the digital version with every disc and allow you access to both.
