Yeah, I've created a presence on SoFurry and Inkbunny as well, but likewise - don't upload to them. Basically use them to view stuff and link back to the FA account. Haven't done the others yet. Well except Flickr, but that's linked to my real name thus will not be linked to anything furry related here. ^^;

Understandable. :) I started at the other sites just to watch and set my name aside, but eventually decided I may as well at least upload my highlights there in case they were of interest to anybody.

I tried to upload my stories on SoFurry, since it seems to be pretty popular, but hey don't accept PDF files. You have to actually post and format it in their system, which is really odd. Never tried anything on Inkbunny yet. Good to get your stuff out there though - you have all sorts of fun and interesting pics. ^_^ Your Flickr gallery is always a joy to watch too.

Yeah, SoFurry seems to be a better place than most for getting stories noticed which is neat, but I was annoyed that none of the three, between SoFurry, Weasyl, and InkBunny, seem to allow PDFs. I much prefer posting my stories in that format, plus each website seems to have its own rather picky formatting requirements and/or system. Makes the process of uploading stories incredibly tedious and awkward! It does seem like an odd way to do things.

But in any case, that was my reasoning... I don't consider myself to be one of the most fantastic or prolific artists out there by a long shot, but I've been at it long enough and gathered enough happy comments to convince even me that my work may have some value to others. ^^ And the more sites I put my stuff up on, the more chance it has of being noticed by people who might be into the sort of thing I draw.

I should really use my Flickr gallery more. Aberdeenshire is certainly beautiful enough, I just need to get better about actually taking photos, and in sufficient quantity that some of them even turn out well!

Oh, so the others don't allow PDFs either? That is odd. :/ I opened a ticket with SoFurry explaining that a) I don't want to have to reformat my story for every place I post it, and b) that I have far more content and display control in a PDF than any other format. It is by far the best way to distribute written works, but they said they had no plans to allow it and never gave me a reason for it.

I should start posting stuff to the other sites at some point - perhaps I can post a link to the stories, or the first couple paragraphs and a link or something, I dunno. For you, it's very valuable in that you have a LOT more content than I do, and much of it's very fun and enjoyable. ^_^ I mean come one - the paw fashion stuff is epic. :D

And yeah, more Flickr! Though I'm just as guilty there - I still have kayaking pics from last year to post to mine, AND then this years. I just recently started putting stuff up there again. Seems we're both a bit tardy dragons. ^^;

Hehe, yeah... shame that none of them seem to allow PDFs, at least not that I could discover. I really do prefer having control over the formatting, and the ability to include illustrations with the text now and then is really nice on occasion. Just seems weird to me to not allow it.

As you say, it's certainly easier for me with most of my work being visual. My biggest trouble with posting things to Flickr is just that I don't take enough photos, and the few I do take are decent for capturing memories but don't often tend to be good enough for me to feel like I should post them. Just need to make a bit more of an effort to take more really! I always really enjoy seeing yours!

The oddest thing to me about he no-PDF thing is that they won't say why. Ah well.

I have the opposite problem - I take too many pics! Even last year I was trying to scale down a lot on the number of pictures I posted, and this year I'll be doing the same, especially with the kayaking pics. Will try to limit it to really only super nice shots. As you say, the issue is so many are for memories, but not so good for sharing. :/ I enjoy yours as well. :) There's always a certain element of surprise with your pictures 'cause you just never know what might turn up there. :D

Hehe, I end up with a curious diversity of things don't I! As such I suppose it summarises my life fairly well, I do have a lot of different interests and do my best to experience lots of different things. I just need to remind myself to photograph them all more!

Hrm.... it's interesting/curious whenever I see these, because I don't ever post where I am elsewhere. Maybe I should. Or maybe I should just hint at it, because some places like FA I exclusively post some arts, and in other places, other arts. Yay, get to catch you on other places now :>

Different people do it differently! I can see it making some sense to not tell the different groups about each other if you're deliberately posting different things to different crowds, though in my case I'm posting all the same stuff everywhere so there's no harm. Chances are anybody actually seeing this notice already follows my work here, but some people prefer other sites more, or check specific ones more frequently or something. So following me elsewhere won't really show you anything new or different I'm afraid, but even so! It's more Dorey. ^^
