I have a bunch of people I watch, but I pretty much just skim. Even though I do get sick of the "lol i ate a sandwich today" journals, I read super duper fast so its not too much time to weed them out XD

Although when I woke up to 250 new submissions like 6 hours after FA came back up...that kinda took some time out of my day XD

That;s funny - I tend to watch people I DON'T know, because the people I DO know I try to stay in contact with - so it's NO personal offense if I befriend and don't watch. You I watch cause I like your arts, I kinda know ya (from FH) so you're, lol, both!

The biggest issue I think is the lack of room - I'm used to sliding through cons on cup ramen and the generosity of the con suite and such and it's not like I spend much money in the dealers area either.

As for that, eh - it's tempting, but after two cons in a row of having bad experiences rooming with people I don't know, I'm rather leery.

And then, there's the mentioned money issue. $50 to reg - around $100 for a room - Whatever it costs for me to get a round-trip ticket out there....we're looking at probably nearly $300, not counting misc expenditures while there...

Meanwhile, I'm going to be selling plasma next month to help bring in some money ;P

Dude you can make good money selling plasma. Espesh if you have the right blood type :P A lot of the kids at CMU did that for their beer money.

Eh, I wouldn't say GOOD, but it's better than NO money.

If I can "handle" two visits a week (apparently some people find it too taxing...bah), I can bring in about $50-60 a week.

So yes, for the near future, my "job" will be to produce fluids for them to tap for some nefarious purposes. Meh.

Sadly, I don't start till mid-October....not leaving me enough time to build up sufficient MFF moneys.

$50-$60 a week? Some kids I know said they made like $300 a month. Which I guess would be close. Just hope you have an in-demand plasma type :P

I think they're doing this more for research, if I'm not mistaken - there doesn't seem to be a variance on the payscale dependant on your blood type.

Beyond that - *shrugs* I'm just going to overcome my natural dislike for having blood drawn and try to think of the end result...spending money.

Oh I don't blame you at all for that... I have actually been thinking about that myself... so that I am not like spending hours going through everything when I get the chance. I like your art, that is why I am watching you... and I also have just recently found it. But like I said... it's something I am thinking about.... just keeping it to the people I talk to, and the people I like the art from. so no harm, no foul ^_^
