While the fandom has come far...it has also devolved in many ways. I'm not that surprised though...just thought that there'd be more of an outcry.

Yep, the fandom has definitely gone down the drain completely though, I seen it drained. But oh well.

Now...we must wait for legalization of gay marriage nationwide...we hope it happens so I can see a bunch of bigots and hypocrite haters get mad.

I wouldn't be surprised if it could be because others have the same reaction I did; It's about fucking time. Honestly I'm more annoyed that it took this long to get it when other progressive nations have had this issue sorted out years ago. In the "land of the free", really??

Also, just because DOMA has been struck down, it doesn't automatically grant the LGBT community equal marriage rights. That is a whole other issue. The important thing however is to keep voting to support the LGBT community and speaking out against actions taken to restrict rights, because the opposition isn't going to simply give up and let us have it because the Supreme Court corrected a legislative mistake.

The last thing we can do as a community is to get complacent because we scored a minor victory in a war not so easily won.

While there is still a lot of work left to get true equality...it does give the LGBT community certain automatic rights. It will take a little time getting the infrastructure in place to facilitate those rights, though.
