That can't be it, though. There's no way he'd go so far as to just ditch the grumps right the fuck out of nowhere just for that. All this "hate" is because he left in such a way that just felt like a slap in the face to all the fans. Now all we have is Steam Trainwreck.

True, but Doug Walker did it in a soft way as well and people went nuts. I think they're smart enough to know what was going to happen if they did it like that. Jon will be back. It's surreal to think that they'd rather stop game grumps as jon and arin rather than waiting to release an episode in a slower pace, giving both of them time to rest.

Oh, he'll definitely be back. But I can honestly say his departure bothered me WAAAY more than Doug's. I mean, when he said he would stop doing Nostalgia Critic I was like "Yeah, alright. I guess that's fair enough. Can't wait to see what he comes up with." With Jon it was more like "What the FUCK is he thinking!? Does he have a terminal disease or something?" It was terrible. At least Nostalgia Chick, while still unfunny, was around before Doug took that break so her replacing him certainly wasn't as much as an outrage.

it was just all so sudden and there was no proper warning. it would have been better if they had made the announcement earlier and broadcast jon's last episodes and then move on to new grumps and steam train. fans would have had more time to prepare for jon's absence and it would have worked out better. the way the grumps handled the new changes is just terrible.

plus, jon was my favorite grump, so it's not the same without him. :'c
