That "locking" your profile doesn't stop people from accessing your gallery by manually typing /gallery/(yourusername) right? And that they can access your journals the same way, right?

Well that's rather shitty. I locked my profile so that people I knew professionally wouldn't be able to see it by stumbling onto it.

I'm not sure if someone not intimately familiar with the site's workings would be able to figure it out though, unless they were really desperate to look at it.

I was came across an artist from someone's favs, clicked their profile and found they had blocked it. I wondered if I could still access their gallery by typing the URL manually, and I could. Upon reading their latest journal I found that they had a hissy fit and locked their profile.

Oh, but if you mean enabling the option "only registered users can view profile/submissions" then I believe that is working properly. (I just tested it with my other account) I was talking about completely locking your profile so no one but yourself and admins could see it, which also of course removes the links to gallery and journals.
