Audio Tech Question
K, I'm trying to copy/dub mp3s onto a cassette.
I know I run a line-out from the comp plugged where the headphone jack goes.
I also know it has to go into the input of the cassette recorder.
Thing is, i don't know which input it's supposed to go into. >:3
Is it the input where the headphone jack would go, or is it the AC input in the back where the cord would go?
The answer would determine what kind of patch cord i would require.
All I know is the male-to-male cord I'm using from soundcard to headphone jack doesn't seem to do the trick.
Any advice would be helpful here.~

It may be the same size at the headphone jack or slightly smaller. What make and model of recorder are you using?
However, I have a Sony cassette player with CD/line-in capability, so I ended up using a 1/8" male to dual male RCA-unit patch cord to connect the soundcard to the recorder.
Success. ^^
Are you sure the player is capable of recording, first of all?
Secondly, if you know it is, it is entirely possible that it works only through a mic that is built into the recorder, in which case you are out of luck with that recorder.
However, well, read my above comment to
Just used it a sort while ago, in fact.
ideally you want line out/ line in but headphone / mic will work if you set your levels, maybe do a test recording to see if it's overdriving ^^
