Just lost $2000, and it won't be refunded to me...

I feel so sick and numb. Like I am having an outer body experience.
I am shaking right now.
First the government wouldn't give me my passport and made me miss my flight. And now United Airlines won't give me back my refund. I used my school money to buy it. I don't have a job and have been saving that up for 2 years. And now, it's gone. And I didn't get anything out of it. I can't stop crying. This would have been my first trip anywhere. And now I can't go. But I refunded my money a week before my flight. Not lke the day before or on it. I don't understand. I feel like throwing up.

All non-refundable tickets not reissued or cancelled prior to the outbound travel date have no monetary value.

He was the one who bought my ticket (but I used my money, he just ordered it for me because I didn't know what I was dong) and I can't call him and stuff. -huggles you back- I feel so small and insignificant. Sorry for being super depressive. It just smacked me lke a ton of bricks. I was happy and in a split second turned it a sobbing baby.
this is so wrong on so many levels.
My best friends mom is trying to help me. She said to send a message to the CEO of the company and a message to my congressman/woman.
I really wish I could afford one, but that ticket costed everything cent I had. u.u
But right now my best friends parents and some of my friends are trying to help me get it back.
Right now they said my other option is to contact the CEO/head person of the company and Congress man of NY.
