What inspired Plugg?

Plugg was actually an adoptable, I thought it was kinda interesting because he looked a little like a crux and had a USB-tail like Cheetah-Virus and Dakota Jaymes's Proto character. At the same time he was basically a robot who carreid all sorts of viruses. So I figured the story would have been simple as that - he was made to carry viruses, but is also great at testing kinds of security out with harmless prankware that can bypass security. Of course he'll put the prankware on your computer to because he learned that people usually get annoyed if their computer is paperweighted by viruses and worms.
