Do you see yourself as a good artist?

How skilled would you say, you personally think you are?
Do you often compare yourself to others?
Do you often compare yourself to others?
FA+

But I compare myself to other artists all the time
I'm decent, at best.
Why?
It still takes ages for me to get the right composition, and poses take forever to come up with. I don't do very dynamic poses or angle (although I am practicing). I constantly change my style, and I do have anatomy errors. I can't shade to save my life. XD I can't do backgrounds either.
People may say otherwise, but I know I still have a long ass way to go.
i draw to relieve stress and it works. sometimes i'll compare, but really i don't care cause i draw for pleasure X3
I do compare myself to other artist ONLY because I think my style isn't defined yet. I think that's the main problem that I have right now.
I need to find my own style and maybe I'll possibly be happy.
I do tend to compare myself, but not negatively, just like.. What can I learn from this artist?
I compare myself all the time.
Do you often compare yourself to others? often
But I do notice that Im slowly improving more and more with the time and effort I put into learning~
Lauren Faust said something along the lines of having to pretend you have a thousand crappy drawings inside of youraelf and you cant do the good ones until you practice the bad ones out of your system... Really helped me get motivated to.work harder on improving :3
I always compare myself negatively. Pretty much I think pessimistically about my art all the time.
Well. i think i definetely am way better than i was before so i think im good now but that theres always room for improvement :>
Do you often compare yourself to others?
its a little unavoidable. specially when i see something i like, but i have grown a little habit on not to, and it has been working, i understand not everything i do similar to others is a matter of skills but by a wide range of factors, but i do still compare myself to myself :>
what about you ? o:
And yeah I compare myself now and then, though I try to rather get inspired by good art more than getting sad over the quality of mine compared to theirs.
However I do make an effort not to compare myself to others, I don't think it's a very productive way of going about improving. :<
Srsly. I do it so much that I want to tableflip.
I'm okay with never being a big scene/painting whiz like
So in that regards, I'd give myself a 6/10, with plenty of room to still improve but giving myself a fair rating for what I already can do, when I do things right.
Honestly, I used to think better artists could draw w/o references, but learned that I had it all backwards, so I'm trying to use them more. X3
Mmm...I'd give myself 6 or 7 on a scale to 10. I like my style and characters, and feel comfortable in what I can make them do. But I struggle with backgrounds.
Yes, I compare myself to others all the time. ^^;
I ain't exactly Renoir, though. :P
And yes, I often compare myself to others -- generally, though not always, unfavorably.
Compared to most of the artist I follow, my art is shit. I don't think it compares at all.
but when I look at some whom have such AMAZING skill.. I forfeit myself... then again... I have a style of my own.
I compare myself constantly to other artist. For the most part, not in a negative fashion but in a "oh wow, their technique with this is interesting/amazing". I know my weak points and what I can do to improve on them so it's more of an inspirational kinda think for the most part I guess. Oh unless I come across a 15 year old that draws way beyond than anything I could hope/expect. Then I haz the sad.
