As the title suggests, the job hunting hasn't been going well for me, and my moral is pretty low.
So if any of you are interested, how about you post a link here to a funny/amusing/awesome video or pic. If I like it, I'll try and find an equally funny/amusing/awesome video or pic to respond to it with.
All that I ask is that there not be anything obscenely gross (like 2G1C or goatse), or too terribly inane, like Jackass, 4chan (though there is a lot of funny stuff on 4chan) or SA and POE.

I wish i still had my Beast PC. i would so get this.
I played "Road to Hill 30" and was a bit disappointed.
I was consistently wowed by the accuracy of the evirons and to what lengths they went to ensure that they were as close as they could get to what they originally looked like. I also thought that most of my comrades were genuine, believable characters that I actually cared about. When one would shout out "I've been hit!" or "So-and-so's been hit!"- I actually cared.
The disappointment came in two forms - thematic and the gameplay.
By thematic, I should really say that the constant flag waving, dramatic-trumpet-playing, good-'ol-U-S-of-A propaganda got a bit much; especially towards the end of the game. No where else did I notice this more then the main character's dialogues between levels.
Baker was a character I had a hard time empathizing with - not because I couldn't understand his feelings, but because his portrayal was so exaggerated.
I knew right away what kind of role he was intended to play, what kind of mentality he was supposed to portray, and he didn't act the role - he bludgeoned me with it till I almost lost respect for him.
But it was the gameplay that really make me list the game as "mediocre" (which pains me, because there is so much in there that I want to see in other games).
I enjoyed the "Find, Fix, Flank, Finish" gameplay at first. But like with so many other parts of the game, after a few levels the whole game became formulaic. I ended up saying to myself at the beginning of each engagement "Ok, how do they want me to flank them this time?"
I felt trapped in the play-style. I felt like I was reverse engineering the game, trying to figure out how the developers ment for me to win. Here's were they want my group to suppress, here is were they want me to assault...
"You guys - shoot... You guys - follow me around these bushes/these boxes/this mound of rubble/this car/etc."
It took me right out of the game - after the first two levels, I was never immersed again.
Still, there was enough there to make me sorry I sold it. I want to give it another chance; and from the look of that link, Hell's Highway might just be the ticket.
