Just saw that movie! Not gonna make a detailed review, but take Top Gun, Independence Day, Godzilla, Power Rangers and wrap that up. You know just about everything that is coming, but if you like this kind of movie than it is quite the fun ride. Wasn't bogged down with unnecessary side plots.
There was this one scene that made my inner mech lover squeal a bit. I actually didn't see it coming despite it being a necessary part to every "hero" mech in animes or Ranger type shows. XD

Saw it yesterday; pretty much agree. The script could've been written by a five-year old and the acting was meh, but the action was pretty awesome.
