Suddenly, A Job Appears
Yes, I am employed!
Last Thursday I received a call from a local temp agency. A local party rental company needed people to help them load and unload tables, chairs, and tent pieces. Still a bit gun shy from the last job I got through that agency I hesitated and said I'd mull it over. About an hour later I called back and was informed that the position filled up. Not that it really mattered. Apparently, the last spot had filled up as I was receiving the first phone call. I signed on as a backup and set about hoping that someone dropped out.
Fast forward to today. Someone did drop out. I'm in. The job starts tomorrow and runs more or less nonstop for the next three weeks, only taking Saturday off. I really don't like the idea of working six days a week but since it's only for three weeks I figure I can put up with it. Job starts at 7:00 AM and potentially can run as late 6:00 PM. Again, I don't like it but I can put up with it for the time being. At least this job doesn't have a stupidly short lunch break like my last one. And the money I earn from it can be put toward buying myself a new computer. Yes, the old, black lady is on her final legs and it really is time to replace it, six years, two AC adapters, and one fried hard drive later. Oh, and a recall. Mustn't forget that.

OP
That's more or less how I'm thinking of it. It's not really a job I like but it's a job.
