hi peoples,

i know i said things would be slow going, but i don't think i actually meant THIS slow - not drawing anything at all for this long. honestly, i had planned to start getting things done again a yesterday (when my bday weekend was over), but now....oh god, now it's so hot and humid that i can barely breathe, let alone sit at my desk and draw. a lot of you probably know what i'm talking about, and i hope you're not all dying too x.x

but i just wanted to apologize to commissioners who are looking to see their things be worked on and finished. i literally am unable to work in this heat, and my poor little laptop risks overheating every time i turn it on. i just need it to cool off a little, or i need to find a nice place with air conditioning to work. until then, i'm not sure how this is going to go. but i'll get on it as soon as i can...

Take some time off Nix, and come back when you feel ready. I'm sure people wouldn't mind. Real Life comes first after all.
Artists are people too. Enjoy the summer while it lasts, the winter is soon here again, and people will just have to respect that.

Personally, i have no problem waiting.

thanks for understanding. i think that if i had things to do and places to go like last week (i was very busy), then i wouldn't mind it so much as such sitting and melting in my house. clearly i need to find things to do, and then come back and work when it's not so hot *nod*

sometimes, just sitting doing nothing is relaxing enough, not to mention, even moving a muscle during those hot days tend to overheat me..... Cold drinks and moving as little as possible would be my best bet, and don't forget the ice creams!

lol i'm not actually where there IS a library anymore! they closed most of them around here x.x if i could get a ride, i'd go sit at barnes&noble or at my old uni campus where there's always air conditioning

that sounds nice x.x i usually doesn't get really hot here, but last summer we had many days above 100F, and this year's almost at that too. hopefully it'll right itself soon, but i'm glad people understand until that happens ^_^

You definitely need to take yourself a nice bit of a summer break, Nixie. It's not done trying to force yourself to work in this insane heat, especially if you don't have enough possibilities to keep cool like fans or an AC or anything. It's the same down here in the Netherlands, I somehow managed to catch myself a monster cold which is an achievement I can tell you because it's so hot here we're all melting! =Þ

You just go and lounge around in as few clothes as possible and with a nice bowl of ice cream or an icy longdrink, okay? =~.^=

i dunno HOW you managed to get that cold! x.x that's crazy. i'm hoping to be able to get somewhere with AC if it doesn't cool off, but until i'm sitting here in front of my fan with tall glasses of ice water *nod*

Well, that's just me, darling, I manage to catch colds in the middle of summer, I'm weird like that. I hope you will manage to find some places with a good AC, too! Like, do some grocery shopping and take five hours to select three items! That'll help, I guess, hee! But I hope even more that the weather will simply start behaving itself and cool off a bit, yush!

The bad thing is the heat can last for weeks and the commissioners could be waiting long but they seem to be patient.

that one day the other week where it hit 39..... outside. i forgot to open my window when i got home, i woke up after unexpected nap and my pillowcase was soaked....... my room was comparable to a sauna, must have been at least 45 :c

wow that's a lot x.x that's hotter than it's been reported here lately, though my dad said the thermometer in his backyard read 43C today. the news said it was 32C today, and 35C yesterday

yeah it cooled off here a lot thankfully, barely even broke 20 on the jeep thermometer today. but yeah, that one day the other week was killer. i hope your heatwave ends soon x.x
