It might not feel like much now but once you meet a group of people all going through what you are going through your pain and fear lessens. You have people to lean on who know how you feel.
It helps. It's worth looking for it. It's horrifying to be told you have cancer and I'm sure it's just as horrifying to be told someone you love has cancer, considering how my family reacted, I think it was worse for them to know I was diagnosed.
I hope you can get out there to be with your mom. I've been in remission a few years but i still see the pain my family feels while I sit and wait for test results hoping growth isn't found. Find support. It's not hard with a google search or just talking to your local hospital. There are resources.
Just bought the plane ticket, looks like I get to be up there for a few weeks. I'm only doing it for her. It's easier to be supportive of her fighting the cancer since I beat it and she already beat one type of cancer, it's a whole new level to deal with my sisters.
Thank you for your support. :>
Take all the time you need though~
And most of all, hang in there. <3
