That is a common condition when fighting with Spirit. The loser gets pounded. Or whatever else happens to be in mind at the time. x3

In equal footing, I'm not sure! Both have strong points and weaknesses. I've always had issues with magic in that I hate dealing with it. That's why the very first version of Fawks had tech that made him immune to magic. And he carried blasters. XD
Spirit just has runes based in his suit for various basic protections from it. Less OP that way. It would come down to who wants it more.
