Why, furries, WHY?

Why do furries feel the need to leave comments like this:

I'm holding back the immense rant about socially stunted neckbeards because I just woke up and it'll probably get nasty.
But...honestly? What compells people to leave comments like that?
For fuck's sake.

FA+

Something like, oh, say, "have you ever done any bondage art of her?' would have been infinitely more appropriate.
Not to mention, FA caters to, like, every aspect of the Fandom, fetishes and kinks included; you're gonna get all sorts of responses here and there, and sometimes it's a matter of your pic triggering a response from somebody that saw something in it that you didn't see, or even intend. Happens a bit with me, as well lol
Just shrug and brave it, don't draw it out into drama unless it's intentional after a few replies that the pic wasn't meant for applied direction and the commenter steps over lines brashly. You can also ignore or block, if it gets stupid and you can't deal with it
I just have this awful (perhaps?) habit of calling people out on the stupid things they do. This is a good example.
FA's catering to all artists, but the majority came here to post their adult material, and the majority on the site come here for the same purpose; for the porn. It sounds blunt, but if it wasn't the case, DeviantART would be praised, since it has an audience for Anthro just like FA does, just doesn't allow anything beyond tasteful nudes or hinted erotica. You're gonna get vastly different reactions on here than there, it's only natural
Like I said, don't let it get to you. Just kindly state your side, explaining why, say, little girl in pic most likely wouldn't be into bondage or sex with a guy in his mid30's. If it gets out of hand, then state that they're overstepping their bounds, and they need to chill. If it goes beyond that, don't flame, just block or notify an Admin. Flaming either states that you're bored (like I tend to get sometimes when I carry on stupid shit) or you're able to stop being a responsible adult and can fling mud with the kiddies
Hope this makes sense, sweets
Dun worry, comments like these irk most of us as well.
But seriously, I share your pain. People like that are interested in only one thing; that and invoking their imaginations on things that are totally unrelated.
It makes me cry.
FA is a public place and people who pass by have all their own reasons to be here.
it's like men who whistle when a cut girl pass by in the street, it's certainly not polite but even if you dont like it, there is little she can do apart showing them her middle finger and continue walking
Take anything cute and put a dick in it.
Happens to all of us. The trick is finding creative ways to vent it.
Ally/Angel is, essentially, my 'fursona'. She's ME.
I mean, I don't mind the errant 'she's hot!' comments or something, but...god. Have some common courtesy to keep your really creepy comments to yourself, yeah?
To avoid possible drama, though, usually it's better to confront the commenter directly through a private message than making a journal about it. After you explain your side, the commenter then understands what they did to get on your bad side, apologizes--and here's the best part--doesn't do that behavior to you again.
Or could just overlook it. Either way...*shrugs*
Like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1404234/
and the troll that attacked me about one of my photos:

When they do it on my pics I either just ignore it, or if he's a repeat offender, block him from commenting my page. It's FA, I know you can't get away from it. D: Unfortunately...
And then comes the yiffing.
As someone else said though, this isn't just a furry thing, as it happens all the time at other places like DA as well. I guess no matter how much both sides contest the idea, furries really are just people in the end.

That said, this community sure could use less 'creep' factor.
The person that likes to post 'in character'. There are many of them. As numerous as the grains of sand in a crotch, and just as irritating.
I'm not in character, I'm just less inhibited online. And I do make Schwartz talk.
That being said, he posts in character and so do I. Luckily my character owned his hard because he's a sensitive graymuzzle ("age:21+" more like "+++").
I'm probably still on his ignore list since I said, "He's a fox and as such he must suck the woof cock".
Trust me, in context it was even more tasteless and rude.
btw: am i creepy
I'm not offended, it's just annoying. I know I don't rant here often, so people don't know just how much I bitch in general about things. But it's just bitching. Not offensive to my tender sensibilities or anything.
But I don't know how furries think, so I doubt my oppinion is valid. Yes, yes, I'm on a furry site and I'm not a furry. Get over it.
So get over it yourself.
Such as my opinion that roleplaying should be kept to forums and IMs, and OUT of art sites. Because I honestly don't want to put up with that shit on MY art, I can understand why someone else doesn't want to put up with it either. There are about eight billion places you can go to roleplay, so stay out of places it's not wanted, fair enough?
OMG! She's so cute! Let's murder her and wear her skin like a coat! It'll be SOOOOOOO cute!!! LOLZY!
Shit like this is why I don't leave the fandom. For the lulz.
Also, I think you're a little crazy for roleplaying on an art site. So there's that. But whatever. Just one man's opinion. INTERNET IS SRS BSNS.
Now, of course, you've started another saying how I approached you and we've smoothed everything over, right?
1.) I can see why this is offensive and truthfully I'd be bothered by it too. It's one thing to make a comment like that to someone you know and knows that you're just being playful and don't mean any harm by it, but when it's not something you do to a person you don't know. Shizuki made a comment about people making similar comments to her sister who's underage. Even if they didn't know (if the correct age is posted then they should know), it's not a very good idea to do that.
2.) Just because someone has an interest in something you don't understand or care for doesn't make them a bad person. Silvermoon (care to explain why you randomly have the word "PENIS" on your avatar) is under the impression (or at least this is the impression I got) that someone interested in bondage is sick or at least wouldn't care about a noble cause as fighting breast cancer. I'm sure you can look all over the net and find those who both enjoy bondage and support a cure for breast cancer. Bondofox made misjudgment on making such a comment to someone he doesn't know and he has apologized for it. Even if he didn't I don't see why anyone would feel the need to tell everyone about it. Trying to get some sympathy perhaps? Playing victim? Probably not, but it makes me suspicious. I don't see why you couldn't send a note to him saying it was inappropriate, ask for an apology and call it a day. Why make it public? Did you just want to get it off your chest?
While I'll agree the comment wasn't necessary, was it as necessary to make him seem like an ass before asking why he did it? Believe it or not sometimes things aren't always what the seem to be on the surface. I'm sure all of us who use this site using fursonas and the like could understand that. Anyone here like it when someone who doesn't understand furries treats you badly when they don't quite understand why your interested in it? I know I don't. And I equally don't like people thinking I'm a sick pervert because I like bondage. It's not like I want the person (guy or girl) to get hurt and suffer. So long as there's no violence involved or torture or serious danger and of course the person is a willing participant, I don't see what so bad about it. Honest;y I thought we'd all be a little more open-minded around here.
I'm done. Sorry to put so long a comment, Ally. I guess I had to get something off my chest too. ^_^
I posted this to bitch about it. Just like I bitch about things in my LiveJournal. It's to COMPLAIN. I really don't care if people comment on it or anything. It's my opinion about it. Sure, I could've noted him at the time, but that's just not how I work. If people decide to post stupid things in public, I'll share them in public.
I'm actually SICK of seeing so much 'open mindedness' around here. It really translates to nothing more than 'FURRIES ACCEPT EVERYONE, EVEN THE SICKOS'. Plain and simple.
I never had an issue with BondoFox. I had an issue with the comment and the fact that it didn't make a lick of sense in regards to the picture and the fact that it was just absurd to say.
All that aside, it's not even a big deal anymore because we've talked to each other and I understand now that it's a character-style account and blah blah blah over with.
I can understand the venting part. I do a little myself from time to time. This particular situation just seemed different to me is all.
To be honest I'd rather have sickos acting our their fantasies online, physically away from people they could potentially hurt. They get annoying sure, but it could be worse.
I'm glad you two patch things up because it did get out of hand. At least it's over with. Lol.
