Thoughts on a macro/micro themed Zine?

General
I was thinking it might be fun to make a zine featuring art and stories submitted by people in the macro furry community.
What do you guys think?

If five or so people contributed it would probably be cheaper to get 50 copies made and give the rest out to whomever is interested. That way we might be able to spread the word and get more furs to contribute in the future.

Well, I'm not trying to bash it, to be honest I'm a little jealous I cannot contribute to it myself (monetarily or artistically).
Though, if this zine Freder wishes to start up allows someone of my skill to contribute art for it, I'd be glad to oblige.
Again, I'm not trying to harm the reputation of anyone or the zines they do, I just wish to state that I hope I can contribute, even though my skill is lacking.
Perhaps this new zine could be more public friendly?
A lot of the artists listed on the Megamorphics page were around when sharing files digitally was a relatively new concept. Seeing as most furs use the internet to share content now I think it might be a neat change to gather our little community together to create something fun and tangible :)
proceed.
I'm of course: 'All for it!' but just as Illogical expressed his concerns, I just hope it doesn't suffer the same fate Megamorphics did with its 'holier-than-thou' additude. <:3
The main problem of these magazines stem mostly from the fact that they often target a specific group of artists (the popufurs, selective friendgroups and whatnot) which is understandable, wouldn't want the magazine from falling into mediocrity or obscurity. But it's a sad thing for the people who are trying for a chance to become noticed out there in a well-established community.
I think this magazine could provide a great change as well as a fair chance for everyone (especially aspiring macrofurs). =3
My only concern is the bit where you say: "this zine will be more focused focused on newer artists", how are these determined?, how long is the cooldown? (how long does an artist need to be in the fandom to be considered 'not-new'?), will the magazine still feature work from (for example) Sparky? and etc. etc. So I hope that little tidbit might get reconsidered (hopefully scrapped completely to give 'every' macro artist a fair chance), but for the rest: Do keep up the good work. ^_^
Would love to see where this magazine will end up. =3
Older artists are ones that came into the fandom in the 80s and 90s. People like Eric Schwartz, Mike Higgs, and Ken Sample. It's not that I wouldn't want them to contribute, they just wouldn't be the first people I would ask for submissions because they might be more wrapped up in their own established projects/irl stuff than someone in their 20s.
And true, people in their 20's generally have more time on their hands than weathered professionals. ;3
Like I said before: I'm interested to see this magazine come to fruition. =3
Who knows? Maybe I'll even contribute. <3
