Macro zine name + layout ideas
Was brainstorming as to what the name of the zine should be. I kind of like the name 'Micromegas'
What do you guys think? I'd like some feed back or ideas, maybe we could vote.
This is my planned lay out for the zine so far:
[Front cover]
Index of artists
*Editor's easy chair* (this is a small section for a written piece dealing with macro/micro themed ideas)
-clean art and stories- (including things like soft crush, poses, and paw play, etc)
-fursuit photography- (2 to 4 color photos of people in fursuits, enacting macro scenes, showing off their paws, or looming over the camera)
-adult art and stories- (everything from hard crush to macros having their way with cities, rampage scenes or using micros as sex toys)
[Back cover]
Once again, I'd enjoy some feed back or suggestions.

Trouble with making a macro 'zine is that everything (or nearly everything) that's going to be submitted will find its way online, either posted by the artist or immediately uploaded by a fan. It is not likely to pay for itself.
I'd be interested in submitting and creating artwork for such a zine
Still, I'm completely behind the idea and wish you the best of luck in getting this thing off the ground. I just hope it won't come down to you having to pay for it yourself.
This is a cool idea, and I'd like to see it work out for you and everyone else involved.
Before I go any further I'm going to find out how much it will cost to produce what I have in mind. If the first issue ends up being black and white then so be it.
The zines I've worked with in the past didn't have a subscription service per say, you just had to order the issues individually. I think that works if the community is small enough.
It could be interesting to read and it could also help in getting their names out there. =3
-Another idea could be to put some funny captions at certain pics, for example: "Laura Vixen (fictional name) show us the intended function of the millenium tower"
or something like that. ^^
-Together with the caption idea: Maybe the page that lists the artists could provide with some subscripts like for example:
"Laura Vixen was buisy this month with: "setting up a buisiness account on Paypal, you have no idea how much I'd like to grow macro and whoop their asses, lol"
Eg. to make them seem more lively and introduce a bit of personality to the readers, 'you and I' might know these artists,
but the people who read the magazine for the first time would be like: "Okay, who is this John Doe?" (John Doe = unkown person, just to clarify)
Those are the things I'm thinking of, things that would help in bringing more depth and character into the magazine. ^_^
Anyways, I hope my suggestions were helpful and I would love to contribute to this magazine in any way I can. ;3
"Many real cool furs go unnoticed because many are too focused on getting in with the pop-furs." <- I most definitly agee and that is kinda the problem when a fandom becomes too big, everyone is choosing (and sticking with) their favourites while the new and cool ones remain under the radar, so I can't really blame some of 'em for popu-hunting, especially since that's the underlying mentality that 'any' fandom generates. <:3
As for content that seems rad, as does Cresco's suggestions. Maybe it could be possible to find someone who could write an article more information based or philosophical type things within the interest. I know Tyrnn tweets "macro facts", it wouldn't be farfetched to really try and get someone to write nonfiction articles about macros/micros. Even if its a little silly in nature!
I thought I had another idea but I can't remember it. I'd love to help though, could be fun! C:
As for articles, one thing that might be fun is in character interviews with macro or micro fursonas. Asking what they like to do or what is difficult and/or different due to their size. The author of the interview could first describe how he met that person in a humorous way, whether catching up to a macro during a rampage or finding a micro slinking around his kitchen :P
"The story is organized into seven brief chapters. The first describes Micromégas (small/large), an inhabitant of one of the planets that orbits Sirius. His home world is 21.6 million times greater in circumference than the Earth. Micromégas stands 20,000 feet tall."
I started shrinkingman.com/shrinking.net and we had a writer used that as an ID. One story she wrote, Vega of Loas, was about an Earth woman falling in love with a 60 ft tall man. As for Giant-Tiny, years ago I had a short lived fanzine called Giant and Tiny People (in fact and fiction), I now have a facebook group called Clean Giant and Tiny, etc. and the phrase Giant-Tiny has been used elsewhere. (Tumblr etc)
Those are all questions that need answering. You'd need to lay down a structure for everything governing the issues, from acquisition of material to distribution. I suggest you make the first version digitally in PDF first so you can see if it will all be manageable. Do be aware that this will require a lot of investment of time, especially for you. Are you up to that task? Maybe you should start up a chat with Wolfkidd, he governs Megamorphics and is likely sure to tell you how he does things and why, then you'll see that megamorhics isn' t that 'elite'.
Megamorphics is a combination of Mega and Anthropomorphics. Since you don't want to take that same route, might I sugest doing something with 'phile instead? You'd probably end up with just plain Macrophile for a title.
All in all, I will support your idea and will chip in if you need to. Good luck!
