Year of the Cow HIATUS UPDATE 2!!!

New UPDATE 7-18-13 Thursday
Hey guys, it's been a while since the last update.
It's already been a year since the hiatus of the comic.
The good news is that the very first arc of Year of the Cow that Steve and
I worked on has already been summarized and planned last March. We're
still continuing the first story arc.
The bad news is that I have to go through making every concept arts for
the characters, clothing, props, environments/backgrounds, and maps
that'll take me even longer to get it what I wanted and preparation for
releasing the comic.
The problem is, whenever I tried so hardly on focusing making those
concept arts but didn't complete one everyday, I'll end up not finishing it
and do something else or suffer an art block.
Luckly, I've found something on tumblr to use my time management
and the do-to lists more effectively each day.
Including sleeping.

Recently, I figured out how to fall asleep easily with lotioned feet with warm socks, and double blanket.
For drawing, it's been a pretty good 34 weeks , except that one week
two months ago that I got a very bad cold with fever and scratchy throat.
I'm starting to lack on the storyboarding and making animatics since I
haven't done a Game Grumps Animatics last March.
I really missed making animatic storyboards for fun.
At least Jass told me to get Adobe After Effects that'll support PSD. files
to make things more easier than Sony Vegas. And I'm still onto the YotC
webcomic promotion idea.^^
Steve's been helping me getting my motivation back by making these
dialogue scripts from the very first arc of YotC. I might make a rough
comic out of them or doodle a character from it. It was quite inspiring like
watching a nice action show. He's now been quite busy moving to his
own appartment and not sure when's he's coming back fully online. So
I'll leave some skype messages when he's offline for the recent updates.
Life Status: I still don't have a job, but I really want to do commissions so
badly this summer . To start off as a beginner, I want to start doing $5
sketch slot commissions around the middle of July. I still got my Paypal
that I haven't used three years ago. So I'm all set to make an ad. Also, I'm
trying to get some counciling for me to get better.
Speaking of which, last month, I showed a video game culture
community, called GAAM (Games Art And Music), that I once knew in my
local town my sketchbooks. They love it so much that I was instantly
invited to be on their next event which I already went to with my
entered Super Smash Bros. colored pencil piece. I had a very good time at
the event meeting new people and reuniting my old friends that I
haven't seen them in a long time sharing my sketchbook works to them.
And most of all, having fun playing Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl
with them.
The good news that the president of GAAM told me that someone
wanted to buy my Super Smash Bros. color pencil piece which I'll have to
talk to him this week. ^^

Future Projects: Aside from improving my art more on Year of Cow ( and
not trying to focus too hard on it), I'll be doing a few animatic projects for
ColabHQ, a very talented group of voice actors who put their voices in
"Let's Read Homestuck". They sometimes play PC games with their Let's
Plays. The only problem is to deal with the narrator of what he's going to
look like.

Last April, I told Steve that I have an idea to practice my comicking by
making blog comics on my thoughts on new animated shows and pilots,
reviewing stuff in comic format on Top 10's lists, cartoons (episodes),
anime, animated movies, and cartoon based comics (like Adventure Time
comics). I'll add title card thumbnail previews for each. If I'm motivated
to do one, I hope.^^
I might make a comic on that Zen mewtwo sketch I did several times in
my sketchbook as practice too , if I could learn about Pokemon Gen 4
and 5 stuff without any story spoilers and gather some resources to find.
(I don't have a DS, btw.^^)
Since I'm a bit lacking the storyboarding lately, I need some
retroboarding and motivation of how to storyboard again from animated
movies/ shows and comic/manga pages.
And that's that for this Hiatus Update. Stay tuned for more news later on.
