At 8AM.
My dog of 14 years, Baby, passed away due to fluid build up on her heart and lungs.
I wasn't there when it happened, but at work..... I would have given anything to.... to hold her in those last momments.
I put a picture of her in a frame and placed a tuft of her fur I found in a small box in front of it.
I'll be painting her grave marker sometime in the following days, like I did for Kitty.
Baby, I love you, you were the best dog anyone could have ever asked for and I will always remember you. I miss you Baby.....
I'm going to make a clay sculpture of her once I have the time. I will also be comissioning a pic of her or painting one myself in her memory.....
Anyways..... That's all I have to say.

But the vet who examined her body said that she never knew what hit her. So she didn't feel a thing. (Of course, if you got hit by a ton-and-a-half pickup going 50 downhill..... you wouldn't probably feel a thing either.)
Quick and instant are always better than slow or lingering.
It's just.... That morning when I went to work at 5:20AM, I saw her laying at the back door, raising her head up looking at me..... All I can think of is... I could have held her one last time..... My parents had burried her by the time I got back home, so I didn't get to pet her.... It's probably a good thing anyways, they told me she had began to bloat and... yeah. Best to remeber her the way she was.
