So I finished
shadowtheumbreon 's commission
go take a look! :

I'm really happy about how they came out even if I can't do background worth... well you know. Originally it was a $30 commission but I got paid $50 as both a "good work" bonus and a "now how about a few sketches" incentive. Which I'm more than happy to do XP
On the note of sketches: Take note that I plan to do one sketch a day of ANYTHING and for ANYONE... you hear that? ONE REQUEST/SKETCH A DAY! I'm calling it:
THE VORE A DAY SKETCH BONANZA!
This does not mean I want my PM box flooding with requests and have every one expecting me to do them. What it does mean is you can leave your "ideas" (usually vore/pokemon related will garner more attention) here or note me and If it interests me I'll give it a shot. I plan to take no more than an hour on sketches! I'm will literally cut myself off from drawing the sketch at one hour. (maybe less depending on time constraints)
the reason why I'm doing this is because I feel like I still need some polishing before I open my doors to full fledged commissioning. I might start commissions soon (at one or 2 slots a week) but until then I need to get my artistic juices going again. (as you can see I haven't submitted anything in near two months except shadow's commission >< )
As for how long this will last? Who knows? Maybe I wont quit. I mean sooner or later I'll stop doing it EVERY day and just a few times a week but still, it's a good exercise that I should get into the habit of if I want to make any sort of living off of commissioning.
That brings me to the next topic: I's need the money!
Commissions might open within the next week and on that time I'll add commission pricing and all of that.
Right now and I'd like to know if you guys would be interested in buying my art in the first place? If you do, tell me so and tell me what you think my artistic ability is worth.
I have a VERY unrealistic goal that I'll be stressing in the near future to make $3,000 by next summer through commissioning. If I make the same amount I did with my last at $50 a commission then it'll take 60 commissions in total to reach that goal. Breaking that into months that would be about 10 commissions a month which would be about 3 or 4 a week! (and this is of course assuming I can get all of my commissions at $50 )
I say this mainly because a good 1k + of that money will go to funding my trip to England and my trip to AC next year. The other part will be to help my dad out and build my own capital so I don't have to keep living in his house, using up all his money.
And this is the final topic: Living.
Right now I live in my father's house with only my brother as another family member (yeah, 3 guys in the same house... it ain't the most cleanly place you've seen >< ).
As such my dad only makes near $30,000 a year and is barely able to brake even. His job is also very unpredictable as he is an "independent contractor" and works as a Personal Courier (which is VERY costly because of gas). And since he owns a house, pays for TV, internet, phones, 2 cars, 2 children (of who neither work though but go to college, though I plan to get a job soon) and other expenses, we are all kinda stressed on money. (well I am, I don't know how much my brother is, I consider him the laziest, most self centered person on the planet... but that's just me.)
So I'm trying to see how I can balance school, leading a club, girlfriend, being in a show (theatre), having a job, drawing for commissions, and also be able to do a few other of my hobbies (IE 3D art, gaming, cooking, internet and other things)
I've been thinking of just taking a year off of school, make some money and live in an apartment or room with other people so I can take the monetary burden off my dad.
Ah! It's all very confusing and frustrating.
But in anycase I'm just writing my sob story to sort it out in my mind, I'm not trying to get sympathy though I wouldn't mind it.
Anyhow, that's all from me. Thanks to those who've actually read the whole thing (I know I probably wouldn't :P )
Just remember to leave your "ideas" for the VORE A DAY SKETCH BONANZA in my journal or PM me.
Also please tell me what you think my art is worth to you and why. This can easily affect what my future commissioning prices will be.

and I'll work on your sketch so don't worry! I'm sorry that I'm taking so long.
The thing with my brother is that he is counting on only one way of getting income. He's hoping that his webcomic that he scripts and draws with garner him attention and then he asks people for commissions to do comics for them.
The thing is his skills (artistically, he's an amazing writer) are very sub-par. Which is usually the case for the majority of webcomics since usually the creators are writers first. So not only is he selling his skills for a very low cost (I think it was $10 a page of 6 or so panels) but he's also got to add into the equation that commissioning is a gamble and not a steady flow of income.
I myself know that even my skills wont necessarily garner a steady flow of income so I'm also going to get a job as well.
The thing about the lazy self centered-ness was more of a little rant towards my brother I posted because I was a bit peeved at him then. I love my brother to death but he gets on my nerves a lot and expects everything to be done for him except his own hobbies (basically what I'm saying is I'm the maid of my house since no one else cares too much to clean it and I'm mad at my brother for not helping out more)
Although a good way of helping such matters is to take advantage of what you can. There are plenty of laws that allow one to help gain a momentary rest from taxes. Although I don't know if the same applies to whichever state/city your in, but you might want to check some of the laws out for monetary gains and taxes, some provide a bit of a voucher that I know of to help with some of the pricings. Either for the taxes themselves, or for perishables, like food. (And I'm not meaning of food stamps regardless at this moment) Considering that some laws here allow people under 40,000$ a year to gain some help by providing some vouchers, and actually some scholarships for college as well.
Wish I could actually help, if you ever want to talk I'm free anytime. Just send a private message and I'd send my aim or whatever lol.
I'll have a look at what some of those laws might be for me here in Florida.
I already have a full paying scholarship to go to a community college for an AA degree though so no problems there.
But again, thanks for the advice. I don't think I'm in too bad a mental shape to need counciling but glad to know it's there n_n
(o and I hope are family never gets that far deep that we'll need food stamps or other welfare, I would feel horrible o_O )
I can't remember any of them though. My mother works in nursing and health care, and has mentioned a few before. I just can't remember em >.< Mainly they work for medical bills, but there's a few others.
I was thinking about adding a price depending on how many characters and how predominant they are in the scene.
And, eventually I will! IMing just has to take a back seat to other things at the moment.
Really though it all depends on how I feel right before I draw. If I feel like some anal vore of charem (which something tells me is your request X3 ) then I'll draw it. Though simple anal vore of charem isn't as great as "Charem doing a somersault into the bowls of some other fur while the fur freaks out"
(that took .2 seconds to think of :P ) but yeah, basically if you want your idea to show fruit within my sketch a day thing the more interesting the situation, the better.
Hah, anal vore...well, you probably caught me. XD I usually do ask for such, I admit. But who knows...
For instance, had Zeph not already drawn that comic and you suggested for me to do that then It would probably make me laugh and think "yeah, I want to draw that."
How about someone passing by and got eaten by suprise by Lilly, swallowed and moved from her to Charlie's belly, and Charlie didn't even notice that because he's reading a book? :3
Generic Pokemon:
Pikachu more often than not seems to be the prey, he was one of my favourites back years and years ago when I watched the show so I want to see him in a predator position. How about have him cockvore or already cockvored a much larger Pokemon?
Myself:
Me sitting smugly on a pair of very large orbs, my twin shafts leaking. No specific prey, but you should know I prefer rounded balls rather than the bulky stuff you are accustomed to. My page has references you can use. (Should you decide to colour the piece, two things you should know is that my eyes glow green, a recent change, and my fluids are orange)
wow, that was a little melodramatic.... XD....
*kisses ur head* I sorry....
THAT was melodramatic and freaking hilarious. XD
*smiles and steals a kiss*
*ish kissed* yayy... brain all mushy again..... *literally melts into a pool of lquid on the floor*
