Post NH Trip update

I can't believe you're reading this!
I used to love going to New Hampshire. I've been going up to my uncle's place once a year where a whole bunch of us guys would just escape for the weekend. Been doing this for about 9 or 10 years. I think this was the first time where I actually wished that I had just stayed home.
To start things off, I have to drive the truck up while everyone takes their motorcycle. This I don't have a problem with, I'm not all that much into driving for 7 hours on my bike. I'd much rather take the highway and cut it down to 3, but everyone always takes the back roads. So, the problem that I do have, is that my bike fell over in the trailer, leaked gas down the tank, and it has a dent in it now. Ok, shit happens. It sucks, but I can live with it. Not like it's an expensive $20k bike or something, it's my first bike, things like this are supposed to happen. What really pisses me off, is the fact that my grandfather insists that it's my fault even though he's the one who secured the straps down. They weren't down tight enough, the wheel turned and it fell over. Now, I'll admit I should have double checked them before hitting the road, but come on old man, own up to what you did. It's partially your fault making me believe that it's secured enough.
Next up, there was only 6 of us there this weekend. Usually there's about 8 or 10, but no one really has the time or wants to go anymore. Not to mention some people that haven't been invited back. Then come saturday, two of them left early. One because he had work, the other because his back was acting up. When just my brother and I were sitting at camp, it was kinda boring. Not a big deal, but as less people go, it makes me want to go less also.
Now, when you go camping, you expect to bring the grills and cook some food while you're there right? I did too. That's what we've always done, and sometimes go out to eat at the local places. Well, not this year. All but one meal was at a restaurant. Of course, I was responsible for my brother and I, so I was paying for two people while everyone else only had to worry about themselves. I'm trying to fucking save money here, not blow it all on food. Instead of us all chipping in to get some cheap food and cook it at camp, we're spending money at every turn. I swear I blew at least $200 on food alone, and that was with me getting the cheap stuff! Last time I let my grandfather pack the truck. The grills weren't packed, neither were the axes.
Now the icing on the cake. The old man's shoulder starts bothering him, it's been doing this every so often for the past month. He decides he wants to take the truck back and trailer his bike. So I have to ride back with my uncle. First off, he made extra sure that his Harley was nice and secured on the trailer. Extra ropes and even some cloth to make sure all the paint was fine where the ropes/straps were. So I had to ride back for seven hours. It's ok, because at least my uncle is cool and doesn't drag his ass. But I lost the clip-ons for my glasses not even 30 minutes from my house. So now I have to shell out the money to get new ones... if they even carry my model any more.
All in all, I think this will be my last trip up to New Hampshire. It seems I have less and less fun each year. I'm gonna save myself the time and money. I'd much rather have worked Friday so I got my full paycheck. I guess what they say is true. Hindsight is 20/20.
I try not to bitch and moan about stuff, but this on top of shit going on at home really makes me need to vent. Long story short, I need to get the fuck out of this house and away from my family ASAP.
