SSRIs are usually quite low on side effects. Expect a slight lack of interest in sex over anything else. :I I've been on various antidepressants for years now, (citalopram, lexapro, venlafaxine, and vilazodone) and it's the only side effect I've ever experienced.

Sorry, not lexapro, that's a brand name of something I didn't take, lol. I was thinking of sertraline.

Aww :/ I totally get that... (honestly I've needed to go make an appointment to continue taking my meds but anxiety has locked that option out XD) but hey there's a chance the pills will help. Mine actually do for the most part- Prozac >.>; so I hope they can sort you something that will make the depression bs a bit better <3

I'm on Effexor and it helps me majorly. I was a depressed, anxious, suicidal mess. Once they found the right medication for me it was amazing. If the meds make you fee worse or give you really horrid side effects tell your doctors, they can put you on others. It took 4 tries for me to find what works.

I'm lucky and my only side effect was extreme lethargy for like the first week and sometimes if i take it too late in the day i have wicked weird dreams.

It is! The only thing I've noticed is, if I skip a dose, a few hours later I get very mild vertigo.

I get sick if i skip a dose, so woozy eventually i puke. Luckily I already have to pop all kinds of pills in the morning (health reasons) so I just take it with those and don't forget.

Be careful if it's cymbalta (really, any, but getting off cymbalta has been a trip for me conpared to anything else). Good luck!

I been on anything and everything for all of my problems. I have pretty severe anxiety attacks ALL the time. I was placed on Lithium and Celexa. There are other versions of these which don't require blood testing and those work too for a lower anxiety. I am so sorry to hear you have that as well. It really does SUCK!!!!
I also have a LOT more wrong LOL so I need a set of higher meds.
Takes a while to find a good set, so good luck and I hope it works. :)
