Qix is an awesome game. How dare you doubt the Qix. I love Qix and Qix-like games.

Anyway... I too make a point of letting people know exactly what I want, so I'm rarely disappointed. If I ever got a bad game, it'd have to be in the NES era. But even then we had a rental store right behind our apartment, so if I wanted to see how good a game was, I'd just rent it. Then I'd beg for it for my birthday or Christmas. I don't think I ever owned very many NES games, though. I think I actually owned less than fifteen. The rest were rentals. Just a ton of rentals.

My brother gave me some crappy Lego video game for the Game Boy Color, from back when the only good Lego game was Creator, and long before the dawn of Lego-Movie-Tie-In games.

Beats me. We generally got nifty games as presents; 'course, this was the pre-vidgame era, so it'd be something like "Mousetrap" or "Barnstormer" (which really freaking rocked; it had a catapult-launched biplane which soared up a fishing line, then turned itself around and you used a joystick to control the line as it came back down)...

I think I've been lucky so far, anyone who knows me enough to know my gaming habits also knows either my specific game likes or else how picky I am. I usually get gift cards or asked about specifics in advance.

Heh - was always wise enough to let parents and relatives know which games I was interested, although I technically did get a gift game and it was hands down terrible - Fester's Quest for the original Nintendo - I was sent a copy by them to play test it and OMFG it sucked so bad.

Hey, I loved Fester's Quest (Even though I'm an Adams, that's not the reason *Grins*). Probably because it reminded me heavily of Blaster Master (NOT because I'm a Jason). What did you not like about it?

Heh heh... I had Dick Tracy for NES as well... The most fun I had with that game was using Game Genie to get unlimited Super Punches... THAT was hilarious. Never did beat the game tho. Anyhow, I think the worst game I've ever gotten as a gift was Home Alone for Gameboy. I'm thankful I didn't get the NES Home Alone, as that one was even worse... The Gameboy one was bad, but at least it was playable. Anyhow, I think the 2nd worst had to be Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I could never figure out how to properly escape the Weasels, or those non-sensical and un-funny jokes. Figures that the two I mentioned were franchise games, right?

Fester's Quest is horrible, but once you get past that, you can realize what a fucking hard challenge it is. I'd recommend it just for the challenge.

I played through Qix a lot. I believe there's an end to the game. I don't remember.

If Castlequest is the one where the hero ejaculates swords, then yes, that game was absolutely horrid. If it had been given a QC, then it might have been good.

We're playing through Faxanadu and Shadowgate right now. We're stuck on Shadowgate (took us about 20 minutes to find the first key - "hit skull" does nothing but "open skull" gets you the key. bleh). And Faxanadu is all about beating the shit out of gnomes. Fun times.

Also we're reminded about Olivia Newton-John every time we play it. For some real fun, listen to the song Xanadu, but replace every instance of "Xanadu" with "Anal sex." I guarantee the song will make a lot more sense!

Here's one for ya: Berenstein Bears Camping Adventure for the Game Gear XD I still have the damn thing too, but I don't think I ever bothered loading it up. Might actually be a good game ^..~

Worst game i got was Project IGI (I'm Going In - for the less informed.)for the Pc. Worst present i got there. The game was okay, and I enjoyed to sneak around and take out enemies, but the GAMEPLAY s*cked. The freakin' AI cheated like hell! I cleared a building, nobody inside, i go out, and i got a deadly shoot in the middle of my back. Yep from a building, that should have been cleaned. The building was only one room, a box if you must know, and it was empty. I sneak out and some invisible enemy takes me out from the empty room i came! I tried to checked if i missed something. Nope. The game cheats like it's natural to spawn enemies out of air. Worst experience ever! Worst present ever!

Worst game i ever gave was Knights and Merchants to a friend. He was a fan of GTA and Age of Empires. Boy i got a scolding from him! He installed the game , played it like for a couple of seconds, then ranted about the graphics and uninstalled the game. He wanted a good strategy and i gave him one. He just waited for better graphics. (i can rememmber the good old Commodore 64 and the Nintendo Game Boy so i don't give a lot of sh!t to advanced graphics - Comfortable gamplay and replayability is the most important for me. I'm sure a lot of people played Super Mario...was that soo bad? Nope.) Figures...

When I was told I was getting a gamecube, I was told there was a choice of two games, Star Wars or Resi. Now, I hate Resi, mainly because I'm not really into horror movies/games etc. But it was all they had left x.x In the end I traded it with a friend of mine.

Those who don't know what kinds of games I like don't want to risk giving me a crappy game so either I get money or something like clothes or some such...

My parents got me Top Gun for NES when it came out, probably because they thought I had a crush on Tom Cruise. First of all, ew, that's disgusting (if I WERE straight, I'd probably go for Val Kilmer before him), and second of all, there's no people IN that game. Just a plane that's hard to control and impossible to land.

There was a series of fantasy adventure games for the Atari 2600 once upon a time. It was so bad that I can't even remember the name of the cartridge. I quit playing it a week after I got it. Even E.T. was better, and that says a lot.

Oh, and yes, Gals Panic beats the pants off of Qix. Um, literally.
