so remember my last journal when i said my mom finally let me get AC in my room??? weeeellll that night, at 9pm, it started raining. and we had this HUGE GIGANTIC thunder storm with the most lightning that i have ever seen in my LIFE. it was near-constant for a while. it was crazy. and awesome. but anyway, that storm lasted on-and-off literally until 10 or 11am the next morning, and it cooled everything off so i haven't even needed to use the AC unit. figures, right? crazy stuff. but it's wonderful, because it's comfy to sleep, and cool enough to draw, and even wear a hoodie *snuggles in her hoodie*
SO. now. i've gotten a couple commissions done, but i've got a bunch left to do. i wanted to get these all finished by the time i started school (sept 3rd), but i'm not sure that's going to happen at this point. i'm still going to try for it, and i'm definitely going to meet any deadlines that people gave me, but i'm not sure about the whole bunch just because i've been so incredibly busy lately. i'm very rarely busy in the summer, so this has been crazy. since i got home from AnthroCon, there have been very few days where i was actually home for a decent period of time and, if i was, we had company over x.x
as for the upcoming week and month....tomorrow, friday, and saturday are booked for at least part of the day, and then sunday i'm leaving for my annual trip to canada with my high school friends, and i won't be home until sometime wednesday. i'll post another journal about this when i leave. however, the time after that and before school starts - so basically the entire month of august - is currently a mystery. so far no one has claimed any of my time, so that should mean the time will be packed with commission work....hopefully. but we'll see what happens as i didn't expect any of the recent busy-ness either.
as a side note, i've now paid about 3/4 of my tuition. i'm feeling pretty broke, but it's all thanks to my awesome friends and commissioners that i could pay it at all, so thank you so much! it really does mean a lot to me that i'm able to stay in school, especially because this should be my last year unless i decide to do something else later. but i should be walking out with a degree next spring, finally, so that's pretty awesome. (it's just an associates in business, for those who are curious. but i've changed majors and schools a few times so it's taken way too long)
i hope you all are having nice summers! ...or winters, silly southern hemisphere, peeps XD and if you're not...well i hope it gets better! *sends good vibes*

Not a problem on my end! Either you get to it in August (and you'll agree it's a very Augusty image) or it's done later, at which point it will give memories of high summer and make me smile. Good on all fronts! Have fun in Canadia!
