Which is why I said "perhaps". After all, the ones currently in congress once were random college graduates who then became random politicians who just so happened to end up in office at random. (Someone had to select them to run as candidates, and you never know who will be running next.)

Fun fact: The current approval ratings for congress are lower than the approval ratings Americans had for Great Britain at the time of the Revolutionary War.

I never knew that. :O xD Eh, I'm not surprised. Back then, I think Americans fought against England because of taxation without representation. Well, when's the last time we voted on the subject of taxes here in the US? And yet the taxes of things like cigarettes go up constantly. Yeah, they legalised marijuana someplace, and the government is now taxing the utter shit out of it.

Absolutely. The President these days is more of a figurehead compared to Congress. They're the ones that are breaking this nation.

Yus. yus i would. there are members of congress that have held their seat for more than 30 years. even scarier, there are a couple that have been in theit current seat for over 50. How is that any different from a monarchy? Yus, they were elected, BUT their reelection came from name recognition, and the fact that they are million and billionaires by the time theyve serves a few terms.

I would replace them and place a term limit on them. knce theyve served the allowed terns, GTFO!

This would effectively kill lobbyists and keep out congressmen and women focussed solely on their job, RUNNING THE US, and not on lobbyist agenda and lining their pockets with cash.

Though, of course, it would be interesting to see what folks in other countries might want to see done to the US government if they could.
