This is Vixen, Signing in...
So last weekend Crazy and I ventured back to our 'old home' the wonderful Canberra! ^__^
We left pretty much on time and got to Queanbeyan super cheap auto to get some things Crazy wanted to buy while EVERYTHING in store was 20% off =D Only got a few things and while instore the weather turned from awesome to pouring down with rain -___- Got out to the car and had a quick snack at HJ's before heading off to the meet.
By this time (12.30pm) we figured everyone should be leaving the first meet point around same time as us! But when we arrived at meet point 2 turned out they'd been there for ages before we were! X"D Talked to a few peeps, took some photos... wasn't as 'car orientated' as we both expected more of a 'drive your self to a furry meet' than 'furry's into cars meet' not sure exactly what it is..but yey meet! ^o^ But was still good to say hello to some peeps we don't see very often! =D I wanted to cook up some bbq too... wasn't until i did that we noticed everyone already had eaten..so i was cooking (and keeping warm on my own!!) as it began to pour down with wind and rain..again!
By the time food was done everyone but the one who owned the spatula i used, was gone! We thought we'd be missing on the car photoshoot out at tidbinbilla.. so I threw my freshly cooked food into a bag and we rushed off.... only to find out it they abandoned that idea..only crazy and I and the spatula guy (sorry.. can't remember who it was?) turned up for the photoshoot..so I took photos anyways! =D woot!
Then headed off to the hotel the evening meet was being held in..had one of my sausages now that i could eat! And then went inside only to scribble a picture..talk a bit and have some wwiiiiiineee in a room =P We decided to head off and have some dinner at the Hellenic Club with a couple school mates of ours and hang with them for the rest of the night. Twas so much awesome =D..gotta visit them so much morree!
Sunday morning LOOKED great outside..but the wind had to of been -2 or something..was like being at the snow..without snow! X_X we skipped the brekky meet and went for cheaper food instead then went off to the international flag display. found easy enough and we wern't last there! X"D (also thought we'd be showing off more cars this day.. oh well.. =p) I wondered off and did some geocaching for a bit when i couldn't get people to move for a photoshoot of the cars =P lol I think everyone wanted to get into fursuits to avoid the cold winds than care about car stuff X"3 hehehe =P
Then I thought it was time to go to Questacon (was looking forward to it allll day!) mainly 'cause i had limited time as i had to be home to work that night! We rocked up and moments later everyone else did X"D (yey! avoided mega line!) lol
We started down the bottom and worked our way up while the large group strated up top and went down...thought it'd be better (less crowded) that way! =D It was so much fun! I hadn't been since primary school! Mostly what i remembered it to be and more! (glad it wasn't lame..i had worried i might have thought it was cool as a kid and it wouldnt be now..but nope! super awesome still!) =D One of the most amazing things was the talk in the japan room about SPACE stuff and mars and the landings and photos and ALLLLL the awesome! (only me and crazy went to this) and it was epic..I reeaaallly enjoyed it sooo much!!
After that we headed off home..detouring along the way to some wind farms trying to see how close we could get to them for a photoshoot with betty (the car). Couldn't get too close, but close enough for some mad shots ^__^ then quickly home and only just made it in time to get changed for work and go! X"D
In other news.. only a few more days until I head off to RIVfur!! Looking forward to some *hopefully* warmer weather X"D And can't wait to visit Brisbane (never been to the city itself!) =D and I am super looking forward to the con and selling mah wares X"D Weeoo!! I'ma gunna be staying El-Cheapo only a short walk away from the con at a backpackers X"D Shall be selling stuff..trying to go to as much stuff as i can aswell. And going to the laser tag tournament! (I am super sucky at it..but i have loads of fun anyway!) lol
I'll most likely be in some sort of odd outfit..probly even steampunk get up from furdu again too! =D And Ima bring a suit with me too..but who to bring?...still working that out! =P
