Unless something else happened I'm not aware of, this was actually in reaction to the story mode videos from Brawl being posted all over the internet, not any new cut scenes from the new game since there is nothing to show yet.

I'll have to go check again, I heard it was leaked form the new game.

yeah the line is along the lines of... We worked hard on making the cut-scenes and now that they where uploaded to the internet they lost impact so we're just not going to put any story mode in the game now.

I highly doubt this.

I admit I wouldnt care too much if there werent cutscenes, but I bet theyre going too put them anyway, making us think they're not so itll be a surprise. Its something theyd do.

It doesn't bother me really, as much as I do like the games, this new one lost interest already with the character roster.
