What is lacking in this world
I have heard many people say: "I'm losing my faith in humanity" or something along similar lines.
What do others think about what is lacking in this world? leave a comment.
I have seen this being debated on multiple fronts. I think what we are truly missing is common sense. The internet is doing a good job of pointing out the not so smart people in this world, and that's were you get the "faith in humanity dropping" quote.
Think about this for a second:
when you see someone in a viral video freaking out [yelling, screaming, etc.] do you automatically think that he/she is a complete idiot and laugh or do you think to yourself: "does she/he have a real reason to freak out?"
Today society has somewhat of a "norm" system set up. Anyone who does not meet the virtual list of characteristics is discriminated or assimilated.
I'm sure we have all been in the situation where a not very intelligent individual, or just a weak minded person, asks us the stupid question of "are you gay?" with the intention of insulting the person being asked. I respond with: "lets pretend that I am gay, what would be wrong with that?" There is ONLY one right answer to that, and that is "nothing". If an individual is gay or not does not matter, they are still human in which case any intelligent person would treat them like one.
That is one example.
Tell me your examples of people who have acted in a rather inhumanly manner, and what was the outcome of it. As well as answer the question of what is lacking in this world
Here is mine:
In social class we were debating the concept of corruption and then 9/11 was brought up. I told someone that I believed that the U.S. government staged the attack for sake of psychological control over the people [to put it mildly]. The individual literally yelled my belief across the room to his friends. Conspiracy or not this has lots of undeniable evidence to back it up, and because of that I accepted it as the truth. Reading the official story of what happened that day, I could point out thousands of things that do not add up. Over 80% of the American population does not believe the official story completely. Whether or not you believe me does not matter and is irrelevant, as what I believe should not concern ANYONE. The outcome was me being insulted by people daily for two whole months all the way to the end of the year.
The reason why I got insulted is the lack of common sense and the minds of the weak who are not brave enough to step out of line from this common norm.
