The happiness of a fully-clawed cat in your lap
12 years ago
Isn't really happiness at all. 8'T
My bro's cat is SUPER ADORABLE, SWEET, AND AFFECTIONATE
Holding and petting her WOULD be fantastic
Except she does the whole cute "bread kneading" thing that, WHILE LOVABLE, AND IT MAKES ME HAPPY THAT SHE'S ENJOYING ME ENOUGH TO EXPRESS HER APPRECIATION...
.... It's also EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL WHEN THE "DOUGH" BEING KNEADED HAPPENS TO BE THE INNER CALF OF MY FOLDED LEGS.
JUST. WHY.
Declawing makes me feel bad, yet so does this.
The desire to hold her and give her the affection she desires, but being unable to do so due to CLAWS IN MY BODY, so I make her all sad by putting her on the ground when she does it.
IT'S SO SAD
THIS IS WHY I STICK TO WEIRD ANIMALS *SOBS*
LEMURS HAVE NO PROBLEMS LIKE THIS TO DEAL WITH

THE CUTE IS SO GOOD
I still prefer the claws over drooling dogs, but-... not by much. 8'v
Awful, painful biscuits.
... Of course, giving cute names to methods of torture might not be the best thing to do...
I'd also feel a bit odd trimming someone else's cat/suggesting the same, for fear of overstepping boundaries and whatnot! Ah well...
There are plastic caps you can put on them?? I had no idea! Do you make them or buy them or what??
Claw caps are nice because while a trimmed cat won't tear out chunks of flesh (our main concern is inter-cat fighting, since two of our cats were front declawed by their original owners), it can still leave a nasty wide scrape with the square edge of the nail, and pull apart wicker and mesh.
Soft Claws are about 20USD for a set of 40; expensive, but it affords me the luxury of letting kitty sleep with me and not getting clawed when he kicks.
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT
I'M SERIOUS!!!
