Things that worry me when I draw.

This is pretty much an copy of an another journal but it does describe my feelings quite accurate.
Do you ever worry about what other people might think about your drawings or artwork? I often feel in two minds about the stuff I do. Take for example some pictures I posted. I had fun drawing them, and I like how they came out, but I'm sure there's plenty of people who saw them and had such a facepalm moment that it left a dent in their forehead. Should I care about whether or not someone likes a particular thing I've posted? Probably not, but all too often I find myself in that very situation. I'm sure I'm not the only one, and I'm sure it's normal, but man I need to get over it. It's not in the least bit helpful!
Then there's the whole "I don't know if I should draw/post this, just in case someone I look up to sees it and thinks I'm a nutter". I know the answer is "draw what the hell you want and just have fun with it, don't care what anyone else thinks", but these feelings are so strong its actually creatively crippling sometimes. D:
Anywho, I just wanted to get this off my chest cus it usually helps a bit. Feel free to let me know your thoughts on the subject.

Anyways, yeah. Some people actually give good criticism, informing you of any mistakes so you can fix them or whatever, while many others just attack with all they have to see that the piece is destroyed.
The biggest problem with comments is that one negative comment can overpower 100 positive ones, especially if you're out to please anyone but yourself. The thing is you have to post while expecting to not please everyone. This doesn't always make it easier (Hell, I don't post even half of what I draw), but it can help.
That's the only way I've ever gotten around it; just be careful where you post more... Alternative or eccentric stuff, and if you do post it where you post your others, try and give others as much warning that it's different from your usual stuff as you can. There'll always be some who get offended or say it's sickening or what have you, but just remember the observation an Ancient Greek politician after his elected term as Greek's political leader once made who was elected to try and ballance power between the upper class and the lower class:
You cannot please everyone. All you can do is try to please more people than you anger.
Once you realise that, you should be in the mindset to make the right decisions as to what works you should be able to do and post here or in other places and what ones you probably shouldn't.
Good luck to ya, and looking forward to more of your great and possibly more outlandish work in the future ^_^
My Furry namesake is in no way tied to my other aliases... Though they know I am a Furry they do not know which of the 1000000 odd furries here I am
In real life, eh I'm not socialable, and the subject of furry has never come up.
Though my Drawings suck I usually don't care about posting it, never really got a dirty feeling while drawing something.
The great Spanish artist lived long enough to know that, well,
Painters paint
You will find pictures in this book just as disturbing, odd, silly, and as vulgar
as Anything on the web today.
Like biography, more creation and knowledge is always better in the long run
If you see it and don't draw it, who will see it?
"In nature, color does not exist any more than line; there is nothing but sunlight and shadow.
I can make a picture with a piece of charcoal.
All painting is in sacrifices and intentions."
_Francisco Goya
What bugs me is not that people may not like my work, it’s when I have posted an image that I love and have spent some care and attention on and all I get is one post saying "looks great". No criticism good or bad or anything.
... It really depresses me.
