Well I just throw 'em out to the world to see how people would react really, or to see if they react at all. ^_^; but in all honesty I don't worry about it either.

I recently had a problem with something like this. I have been making video game music things for a while now, mainly just taking midi files and converting them and playing with them in Fruity Loops. Now, someone saw fit to rant on how I was a talentless hack for doing so. Not only did they comment first, they also commented on every other comment on the page, proclaiming that I did nothing to create the music and that I wasn't making any kind of effort on them. I blocked that user from my page for harassing me and my watchers. =x..x= They made me give up my project, for now anyway, but I will continue to make silly little conversion game music. x3

Anyways, yeah. Some people actually give good criticism, informing you of any mistakes so you can fix them or whatever, while many others just attack with all they have to see that the piece is destroyed.

It happends a lot, specially when I draw furry, I feel uncomfortable cuz I know the way they're looking at it.

Never try to please everyone. You'll never win that battle. Especially in fandoms. Fetishes and personal interests are practically on the same level as religion and politics, especially with adult material. People are very specific about what they like and they will not hesitate to be vocal about it (Why else is there a gender debate with Okami?). They'll nitpick over the tiniest things (ie. boobs on reptiles, marine anthros, gential design, gender, etc).

The biggest problem with comments is that one negative comment can overpower 100 positive ones, especially if you're out to please anyone but yourself. The thing is you have to post while expecting to not please everyone. This doesn't always make it easier (Hell, I don't post even half of what I draw), but it can help.

Yeah, I get all kinds of hatemail as well. I've been trolled for drawing "non-human" bits, marine mammals, porn of Draco (from Dragonheart), boobs on avians, not boobs on avians, etc. People are too adamant on this site now. If it doesn't fit within their fapping standards, they bitch and moan.

Again, you can never, ever, ever, ever please everyone. There are so many ways to look at everything, that somebody will take offense... so just draw what you like, dude.

seriously... i don't give a flying shit about what people say about my stuff... i draw cause i like to draw and you should too...

dude im that exact same boat! Theirs TONS of things i wanna draw and have even sketched up but alot of the time i think to myself "hmmmm what might soandso say if they see this one." other times im totally like"Oh man i KNOW this one will get a few hate faces" but half the time that tends to be the reaction im going for XD

Short and sweet; This is the internet, buddy. Whatever you post, whatever you can think of, there will always be something 100x worse out there someone will be fapping to.

Think of it this way: if they really didn't like your work, they wouldn't take the time to look at it, critique it, and comment. So really, they like it, but they just want to be a dick and say it's bad. In that case, no matter what kind of response you got back, they really liked it. I doubt this is actually the case, but it's nice to think of it that way.

When I used to write, I felt the same way as well. I kept thinking 'what happens if I write a story that involves furry/human smut and post it to furry storyboards or to non furry story boards? What will they think?' Even today, it's not something I can completely get over. The only solution I've found to it is: What is it you want to draw/write/create? What kind of content does it have? Is it suitable for where I normally publish or upload my stuff? If it's not, then where should I post it, or should I post it for the public to see at all?'

That's the only way I've ever gotten around it; just be careful where you post more... Alternative or eccentric stuff, and if you do post it where you post your others, try and give others as much warning that it's different from your usual stuff as you can. There'll always be some who get offended or say it's sickening or what have you, but just remember the observation an Ancient Greek politician after his elected term as Greek's political leader once made who was elected to try and ballance power between the upper class and the lower class:

You cannot please everyone. All you can do is try to please more people than you anger.

Once you realise that, you should be in the mindset to make the right decisions as to what works you should be able to do and post here or in other places and what ones you probably shouldn't.

In real life, eh I'm not socialable, and the subject of furry has never come up.

Though my Drawings suck I usually don't care about posting it, never really got a dirty feeling while drawing something.

I'm pretty sure the silent majority of people who view your art really don't mind what you draw. If they see something they like, they think "AWESOME!" + fav + possible comment. If they see something they don't like, they think "hmm...interesting" and leave it at that. Anyone who gives you shit about what you draw are arseholes by nature and you shouldn't let them get to you.

One point why I am glad I am not interested in drawing any porn stuff. I never worry about my drawings. And something I would worry about is either a sketch that will be crapped or somethig only for me.

Be who you want to be.

What you draw is what you want to draw, not exactly what other people expect you to draw.

I'm usually going for facepalm value myself. I think it's funny. You obviously have nothing to worry about, your art is pretty damn high tier even if it is porn.
