Update! Oh god steam sale! No!
Another update journal. I got more done than I expected, but it's still a relatively light update. I think I did finally fix that enemy name bug thing once and for all though! I'm sure something else will go wrong, but I'm pretty confident this time.
I guess this is apropos of nothing, but I want to try to do a better job scheduling my work on the game. At the moment, whenever I'm doing something for fun, I wish I was doing something productive, and when I'm doing something productive, I wish I was doing something for fun. So I spend a lot of time not doing either because the grass is always greener on the other side until the end of the month where I try to power a lot of stuff out in the last few days, which obviously isn't a good idea. So I'm going to try to schedule specific days of the week for working on the game and hopefully that'll get me back on track. I don't think this necessarily means anything to anyone, but saying it out loud, as it were, helps cement the idea in my mind.
Similarly, I'd like to apologize for not always responding in a timely manner. I always mean to, but at the start of the month there's a deluge of comments, which puts me behind and makes it feel like a daunting task, then I fall farther and farther behind and start feeling weird about responding to such old comments. So if I don't respond to your comment then I'm very sorry. I'm going to try to be more responsive, although I might not respond to all bug reports unless I need more information. I still really appreciate all the bug reports and they're necessary for advancing the game, but I feel weird typing "Thanks for the help :D" 20 times in a row :x . I'll still read everything and take note of it all, but I might not necessarily respond.

Why do you do it monthly, out of curiosity? It seems like it would be less pressure to just go as you get things done, on top of features not having to wait for the next calendar month...
So switching to monthly updates has increased my productivity while massively reducing my stress.
