One way mission to colinize Mars
I would have posted a Journal about this sooner, but I was so exited I didn't think about posting it till now.

A Colony on Mars! It feels so Scifi, yet If this project goes through it will be a reality. What I wouldn't give to be one of the colonists to first set foot on Mars, and be a part of a community that will build a life on the new frontier!
I know I could never make the cut, but that doesn't stop how exited I am, I can't wait the 10 yeas till they day they send the first 4 colonists!
If this mission is a success I think it will be the pinnacle of our accomplishments in this century, and a rallying cry for humanity to push even farther into outer space!

Besides, if there's cute alien girls there, I'll be only too happy to open diplomatic relationships with them on behalf of the Earth... *tries to look innocent*
And I think you may have missed the part were they Don't come back... This mission is one way!
I also have douth that such a colony can ever be self-sufficient, and thus always reliant on earth to send them equipement which is gonna cost a lot of money and sooner of later the money won't be there for those people to remain on mars.
And two I'm sure the people in charge of this progect know what is needed to make this colony self-sufficient.
And its not like space were there is nothing to tap into, mas at least has resorces that the colonists can use to their advantage!
I'm just nitpicking at this point, but I remain a skeptic.
