If there is one thing that really irritates me its little kids with fursuits. I mean how the hell do you convince your parents to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on something you're just going to grow out of...YouTube is filled with 9 year olds making or getting fursuits. Even though there are 20 to 30 year olds who can't afford one, even with a working job. Do their parents have that much money that they toss money at their child to get something that is really freaking expensive?!
And they will change, or out grow their character in the future because sparkle dog you made when you were 7 might not be what you want when you're 19 or 22.
If you're going to get a fursuit that young, at least commission someone cheap, so that when you're full grown you can get a nicer one! Don't commission someone who wants 2,000 dollars, and even if you put it up for auction good luck finding someone small enough that would buy it.
Idk I just kinda feel like the Furry fandom is also more for adults...I mean realistically, FA is mostly porn and generally the fur society caters more towards grown ups, or 18+ than a minor.
I would just feel bad if a kid stumbled upon something that would scar them...
And I always get this responses from young furs "its not like I'm stupid, I know what porn is and I've seen it. I'm not that innocent," which makes me instantly facepalm multiple times. V.V;

But I agree on the "why do you spend 2000$ for a kid's outfit" question. A family has to be really rich to buy their kid a 2000$ suit which they'll outgrow in a year or two. Or the child is really spoilt.
Something cheaper would be enough - 100$ gets you a supercute custom-made Kigurumi, for example.
practicing never hurt anyone and who knows, they might become the next big fursuit maker?
But buying your kid something that's crazy expensive, is ridiculous.
