You think that's bad? Independents with no political affiliation got less than a tenth of the votes that the Greens did, but still got two seats.

And I tried my best to vote the Tories out, but everyone else tried their best to vote them in again. (Well, not everyone, but it sure seemed that way.)

I was watching the results divided by ridings last night, and had to smile at some of the Independents. I am deeply saddened that the Radical Marijuana party was not one of the two winners. There was a "Christian Heritage Party" in my riding, but I had literally never heard of them before I saw the ballot, so it didn't surprise me much when they came in last.

I noticed them in the results. At least they got more votes than the "PPP", which sounds like something that belongs in the toilettoilettoilet. ;)

I noticed in my riding that the same guy won, who has won for years and years and... he got about 60% of the vote, but since only 60% of the eligible voters in my riding voted, he really only has 36% of the support. Note that 40% of the population in my riding didn't vote. Apathy won out over the "winning" candidate.
