What got you into drawing and then doing art in the furry fadom?

hmmmm, let's see....i don't remember when i started drawing but i've been told that my dad put a crayon in my hand when i was a teeny little thing, and i just never stopped. some of my earliest memories are of doodling with my grandma and chalking up the backyard. i have a very artsy family, so they always encouraged me, and i've been inspired by many many things through the years. as for the furry fandom....i started drawing anthros toward the end of grade school and in high school when i had no idea that "furries" were a thing. i grew up watching disney and loony toons, and i've always had trouble with human faces, so it just came natural to me. in about my sophomore year of high school, i learned about the fandom through a friend and just kind of merged into it, since i was already doing the drawing anyway ^_^

Also, regarding this, your take on multibreasts?

ehhhh, besides the normal things like scat/watersports/etc, things like unbirthing really freak me out, and freakish amounts of cum/fluids. that's all i can think of at the moment. a lot of the kinks around confuse me in the sense that i don't understand the attraction, but i don't actually have a problem with/aversion to most of them.

on multibreasts, i think they can actually be really interesting. i think having the top set be human-sized and then the rest being small/smaller looks and works the best in my personal opinion. it kinda makes sense that mammalian anthro characters would have a few sets, given that the animals we're mixing to get those characters have them.

oh, god x.x um. umum. i think it would be slightly less terrible to be deaf. if i couldn't draw, i just MIGHT go insane and die. but even disregarding that, i'm a very visual person. i just like to LOOK at things. to observe and take in my surroundings. without all that, i'm not sure there'd be a point to anything.

seventy-fiiiiiivvveeeeeee, sunny with a mild warm breeze. i love 75 because you can wear any combination of any clothes i want, and still be comfy. not too hot, not too cold. and if it's sunny with a warm breeze, i can do it OUTSIDE! XD

This is quite the intruiging question when thought about throughouly. What do you -intend- on doing with yourself within five years?

WITHIN 5 years? not "what will i be doing IN 5 years", but what do i plan to fill the next 5 years with? well.....hmm....i have one more year of school to get my wimpy little degree (in theory, if i can fit all the classes in), and i really want to visit my friend sometime during the next year cuz she's getting her Master's in Scotland and i'd REALLY like to go. after that, i want to get some sort of real job and maybe do a little more traveling (though probably just around the States cuz i'll still be pretty poor), and hopefully move out of my mom's house to live in my own, get my license and save up for a car, etc. sometime after that when i get enough money saved, i want to go back to school and either get an actual Art degree, or work on a degree to be either a Vet or a Vet Tech. so, with any luck, IN 5 years maybe i'll be entering into that second round of college. knowing me, this isn't what will actually happen, but this is what i'd like to happen if i can stay focused and find a little bit of luck.

well...i always answer it that the egg came first. my explanation being something like this "way back when, there was a male chicken-like-thing and a female chicken-like-thing. their dna combined to form the first actual "chicken". however, the female chicken-like-thing had the egg cells in her before the actual combining and chicken-formation, so therefor the egg came first"

How do you motivate/force yourself to draw? i can never figure out what i want to do or how to do it. Also I'm extremely lazy and never can get myself to draw, though i want to practice. any tips?

I know this isn't my question but I was adding more and my impulses are telling me to respond.

I don't know about Nixi, but for many artists there is no true secret to helping you get past laziness other than forcing your way through it. Eventually you either work around the laziness or you get so used to drawing every day that it becomes second nature. Some people use stuff like music, movies etc to 'get into a groove' or to 'set the stage' that might make you more inspired - but you can be inspired and still be incredibly lazy and not do anything about your inspiration. But trust me, it's will power. And there are a lot of days both nix and I don't feel like drawing and we just do it anyway. (normally cuz of responsibility to our commissioners, but regardless of that fact~)

I assumed that it would probably be something like will power but i wasn't sure. Sometimes there are little brain hacks that let you do things. it's still interesting to hear input from other artists who do comitions and stuff. I am trying to draw at least once a day but i have been having trouble keeping up with that. I am going for a trip today so i plan to bring my sketchbook with me because i find i always draw more when I'm bored. I guess that explains why i always want to draw when I'm in math class. ;P

Taking sketchbooks or at least doodle paper whenever you go anywhere is a good start. I often draw while i'm waiting on my food at restraunts or before movies if I have the chance to get out. Even when hanging with friends outside, we'll sit and talk and i'll doodle. You don't have to get into the habit of drawing large epic pictures from the start. Pick something new to practice on every day. Eyes, hands, plants, archetechture - anything really. Make small doodles and studies and eventually once you start getting used to jotting down little things, you'll find yourself picking up a pen and paper more naturally until it becomes habit. So good luck!

Thank you kindly for the tips and input, I always felt doodling was just a waste somehow. But i can see how useful it can be. i will be trying a few of them today on the road, I need to remember to enjoy what I'm doing instead of it being just a chore. have a good day! : )

oh god....umm...i just DO IT. or sometimes i don't. because sometimes the lazy wins. but if i have to, i just pull my tablet out and sit and my desk and...start drawing. i try to draw everyday. partly because it's an impulsive thing for me, and partly because if i stop then i get rusty and lose my groove and stuff. a lot of the time, i can't think of anything to draw, and that's why commissions are a wonderful thing for me; they give me things and ideas to draw and focus on, and sometimes they're things i'm not used to so it helps me to practice that way as well. also, i livestream pretty much every time i'm drawing, because it's just enough "pressure" to make me feel like i have to draw and i can't stop and get distracted by other things, because they're watching
