Cartoon of the Week -- Our Favorite Ham!

General
Porky Pig had his own show in the late 60's that ran through the 70's, complete with a specially-animated opening and closing sequence.
Note: Try not to judge based on the poor video quality, please. The reversed Porky Pig sign, the bus door on the left of the bus and so forth are the result of a bad video transfer to YouTube -- it was NOT originally broadcast this way.
The jaunty opening (low volume -- turn it up!):
The semi-tearful closing (high volume -- turn it back down before playing):
Animation by Myron Waldman for the Hal Seeger (Milton the Monster et al) Studio.

Hal Seeger Studio, eh? I wondered who did the animation; Termite Terrace, it most assuredly warn't.
Interesting in how that dino reminds me of
Some of the Kool-Aid commercials featuring Bugs and Elmer (inter alia), which ironically were directed by Tex Avery, suffer from budgetary problems, though the characters are a bit more on-model, both in terms of design and acting.
Can't say I see Yosemite Sam as a chap with a slap bass.

Yeah, I remember sincerely going "Awwww...!" myself quite a few times while watching the closing back in 1973. Only one cartoon show had a sadder ending, and that was The Linus the Lionhearted Show. I used to think that those poor unhappy characters just retreated into the darkness and sat there waiting a whole week until they were allowed to come out again.
