Ok so I work at the subway here in this boring little town, it's alright for the most part but Jesus christ I just had the most ridiculous day. I like my customers, I do my best to give them a tasty and well presented meal, however.. Lately this older man he comes in everyday pissed drunk and completely incoherent day after day. He makes ridiculous orders like (give me everything I can get for 20 dollars, all the types of meat) and for the most part seems harmless and humorous, but today was a different story.. As always he comes in at suppertime and we abide his ridiculous requests, he pays for his food and that's usually the end of it, but today.. He pays for his meal and asks us to call him a cab (which I do for some reason). Several minutes later he walks toward the washroom and collapses on the way there, my manager goes to assist the man, while I assume he's in horrible condition.. I call 911 and report that an old man has just collapsed in our restaurant. 5 minutes later the man gets up and insists that he's fine (my ass). He tries to leave and we demand that he wait for the paramedics to show up (for all I know he's had a stroke) and the man replies "fuck you!" and walks out the front door. So they arrive shortly, and I give them a description of his appearance. We tell him which way he will be heading seeing as how he requested a cab, and they move out. All in all it was a shitty and frightening experience, we merely try to help the guy and he fucking yells at us. One thing for certain if he pulls this shit on us again I'm gonna call the police again and get them to haul his ass off to the hospital. I only get paid 10.50 an hour and it's not nearly enough to deal with these nutjobs. For gods sake I respect what goes on in a persons head aslong as there able to conduct themselves decently in the eyes of the public. After that insanity I step out for a much needed smoke break and reflect upon the insanity I was subjected to. I don't have a problem with crazy people aslong as they are able to act civil when their out in public, if they are not able to then perhaps there is a better place for the likes of them.
