Arthur Brown flirted with the concepts of the occult, but it was primarily shock value, and many of his works vary in subject, on his controversial debut . Everything else here is more or less solid, but Satanism and the occult were buzzwords for most of these bands anyway, with few of them truly understanding or being genuinely concerned with any sort of real dark arts.
