Is it fun? Is there a lot of customization? Does it make you feel attached to your mech and feel like you really care about it or do you just die and get another one?

Sort of attached to the one I'm using. Has a somewhat high learning curve but I actually like that.

I backed it and did the closed Beta..just lost interest when they started trying to bring it in line with CoD. I understand it's gotten better since, but...done lost interest.

Sounds like Planetside 2. Although I'm puzzled how and why they'd do that with mechs.

They deviate from the source material with ECM effects and capabilities, and at the time they were nerfing long range missiles pretty heavily in damage and accuracy. As for why...

They already had the money from hardcore Battletech/Mechwarrior fans that had backed them during development, and they were trying to get cash from a more lucrative and easier to please crowd.

Got friends who keep trying to get me to play this. They play it as much as I watch tanks so... I'm assuming it's good? :3
