Ah, shark week. That magical time of year where everyone pretends to love sharks and goes gaga over them and oversaturates everything with them and floods FA with art of them for exactly one week, and then suddenly ceases as quickly as it began and forgets it ever happened. What a glorious time to be on FA -- nay, the internet at large!

I'm feeling better since my last journal. Still no luck getting a job, but I feel like my streak of bad fortune has begun to go away, even if just a little. Summer has been kind of a downer overall but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Getting to hang out with the local furs at the barbeques/parties  baseprogression organized recently (which were fucking awesome I should add), as well as with other friends like  raidenhusky and  mattspew, has made me feel far less isolated and lonely. It's still a pretty blah time in my life, and I think my anxiety issues are reaching a new level of bad, but at least some things are going right again. Stuff on eBay has started selling again, and I'm gonna try selling jewelry I'm making to make some money until I can get a job. In a few weeks I have my EMT-Advanced entrance exam, so I've got some studying to do for that. I'm very thankful I don't have to worry about paying for that, since I do have an education fund set aside, but it would be nice to have a job so I'd not only be able to pay for it that way, but I'd also have more money in general so I'm not just broke all the time.

So... it's not all better yet, but I think it's heading that direction.
