Post-Condition Wrap up.
PERSONAL:
I had an amazing time, not going to lie. I didn't participate in many of the events or panels (because I spent most of my days in the dealer's den) but the people in the con were just amazing. Pretty much everyone was helpful and friendly, and even though I had issues with pre-reg and then later normal registration, everything was pretty quick to resolve. The con staff were all very helpful, especially since everything seemed to be going wrong for them on Friday, but they handled it all like champs.
Shout outs for
caltroplay and
eevachu who were the GoHs this year. Also for all my friends, new and old, who I was able to see again/make at this Condition. Its pretty amazing the fun you can have with a bunch of people by doing basically nothing but sitting around in someone's room and talking, or going out to dinner in ridiculously large groups.
Netrogo was especially helpful by going out and getting the artists coffee and food when we needed it, and making sure that I had everything I needed taken care of. Being nearly eight and a half months pregnant now, that was a major thing for him, and I appreciated it.
Other than that I don't have much to talk about. Life goes on, but I don't really want to go on about medical problems or issues/complications, so I'll just say there are some non-fatal ones and that I'm moving forward. I noticed its a bit dead here in my gallery, but that is going to change. I have a bunch of art that needs to be submitted, which I have been holding off on doing. I felt bad about putting anything new in the gallery without having finished my commission backlog, so I am taking time in the next few weeks to make sure I get everything done. This is a promise to myself as well as to my clients, so lets do this.
WORK:
Thankfully pretty much all my work picked up at C:W is done. I still have to scan in and apply ink to
human_pride_world_wide's commission, and a reference sheet to complete in the next two weeks, but other than that all I have to do is finish up the remaining commissions I have sitting on backlog. Expect to see some action in the next 2-3 weeks around here.
