Recommend Me Some Horror Movies
I really don't care if it's old or new, I just want some good horror movies to watch. I've been so bored by what's on Netflix and I've been watching nothing but Marlon Brando / James Dean movies lately, so I should watch something else before I start quoting East of Eden.
I primarily like stuff that gets to you, as gore kind of bores me. Found footage is always a fun one, but at this point I'll take nearly anything.
As a gift to you guys, a couple I recommend:
-Lovely Molly
-It
-Megan is Missing
-1980s The Thing
-Eraserhead
-The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari (silent film)
-Halloween
If you guys are looking for anything in particular as well, I can prolly help you out. I've seen so much rofl

Completely ruined Tiny Tim for me, however.
As for another movie I saw Mama in the theaters, the overall concept was quite creepy, but the ending was rather ehhh and they had a very good actor as the role of the father and yet he had NO PART whatsoever. He gets in a coma and just wakes up at the end lol, makes no sense xD
Hmm as for any other really good horror films, I don't really know a lot that would be considered 'good' since I always go back to Insidious haha
Maybe try using google? :P I do that when I run out of stuff to watch. Or you can look on http://www.primewire.ag/ they have TONS of movies and shows, usually the putlocker or sockshare links work the best! :3
- Woman in black
- Donnie Darko
- 28 Days Later
- Scream (haha)
- Nightmare on Elm Street [New or Original version]
- The Others
- Young Frankinstine
- Land of the Dead
- Dawn of the Dead
- Tucker and Dale vs Evil
- The Machinist
- The Haunting
- Jaws (For Shark week!)
- The Shining
- The Silence of the lambs
- The Orphanage
- TV Shows -
- Dexter
- Hemlock Glove [Netflix show]
Let's see which of these have I seen...
I love Scream, Nightmare on Elm Street (Old, hate the remake), Young Frankenstein, Tucker + Dale Versus Evil, Jaws, The Shining, and the Orphanage... I actually havent seen a few of these on this list! Woman in Black, isn't that the one with Daniel Radcliffe? I heard it was terrifying.
I've also heard wonderful things about Dexter, but not Hemlock. What do you think?
I was like 'shit what are good movies, let's see the shit I own'.
I love Young Frankenstein always makes me laugh, I prefer the original nightmare on elm street myself.
And YAY so glad you liked the movies I listed.
The Others is amazing, I loved it. 8 v 8;
One of the first scary movies I watched (still creeps me out quite a bit).
It's nicely done I think. 8)
Hemlock - It's a great short series (well it's only on season one which is nice), I like their twist / views on Werewolves. The transformation is amazing. Has a bit of gore / sex, but I loved the writing and characters. It's a new show so I think it's slowly developing a fan-base / popularity. I've recently re-watched it. It's a lot of fun 8)
Woman in Black - haha yes it is, I thought it was scary. I was surprised too. Although I still snort and laugh because I just think of Harry Potter, poor guy. But he did a wonderful job in that film u v u
I really need to DL Woman in Black, it sounds amazing. ;; What are the Machinist and Haunting like?
Haha aw well there are other good movies too 8)
Machinist - I think it's more of a drama/suspense. He hasn't slept for a year and begins to doubt his sanity. Shit goes down.
I thought it was crazy because Christian Bale lost a shit ton of weight for the film and then buffed up a few months later for batman x');
The Haunting (the original) - Oh man been so long since I watched this one. ; 3 ; I'll just grab it from IMBD:: Dr. Markway, doing research to prove the existence of ghosts, investigates Hill House, a large, eerie mansion with a lurid history of violent death and insanity.
((A few other movies / tv shows))
TV -
- American Horror Story
- American Horror Story Asylum (I like this one more)
* Both shows are pretty good there are some points in that plot that just make me go 'wtf why' but aside from that i found them pretty good x);
Movies -
- The Cell
- Hide and Seek
- Rocky Horror Picture show (LOL..we'll pretend it's a horror because we need more Tim Curry films)
- Zombieland *smacks self for forgetting this one
- Shaun of the dead
I'll think of more later haha.
I've seen the Cell / Rocky / Zombieland / Shaun of the dead ... But the Machinist sounds spectacular. And the Haunting sounds familiar...? Maybe I've seen it but forgot.
Hahah, highfive!, and you may have (the old or the remake) I know the old one was a classic.
- House on Haunted hill (LOL I'm sorry)
- Tower of Terror
- Twilight Zone
- Dead Silence
- Harper's Island (tv show, kicks ass 8u8b)
Now i feel like watching Halloween / horror movies xD;
I've never seen IT but I want too xD; Let's see if the 'Canadian' netflix has it.
Musical / horror
- Repo! The genetic Opera
- Devil's Carnival 8)
okay ill stop now lol
Halloween is spectacular. I adore it u - u more than Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is good too, and the Hills Have Eyes. Classic squick movies.
Devil
The Reaping
Fourth Kind
Paranormal Activity
The Possession
The Conjuring (still in theaters, but it's from the same people who investigated The Amnityville Haunting/Horror and A Haunting in Connecticut - which are also good movies)
The Last Exorcism
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
The Omen (the new one is better than the old one, but both are classics)
The Rite
The Mist
Red Lights (Not exactly horror, but a good suspense/psycho thriller movie)
Psycho (the new one)
Last House on the Left (TW: for GRAPHIC rape)
Secret Window (kinda campy, but good)
Sunshine (with Cillian Murphey)
And Supernatural is a good series if you're not already watching it.
The Grudge / Ju-on
The Ring / Ringu
Tale of Two Sisters / The Uninviting (the first one is Korean, the second is American, but it's both the same story)
Battle Royale
One Missed Call
They Eye
The Happening
Final Destination
Saw
Lost Boys
Silent Hill
28 Weeks Later (Sequel to 28 Days Later)
1408 (this one actually disturbed me quite a bit)
Beetlejuice (for a classic)
I am Legend
Thirteen Ghosts
Twilight Saga (haha, j/k)
Shutter Island (psycho thriller)
Session 9
Grave Encounters

Cloverfield
Yellow Brick Road
Crowsnest
Hurt
Messages Deleted
The Factory
Breaking Dawn (NOT Twilight!)
Choose
Red Mist
6 Souls
Madhouse
