Power Supply DOA
The other day I got a new power supply(cx600m) so I could use the GTX 285 graphics card Koda is letting me use cause my computer is a sack of crap--but when I went to hook everything up, I was receiving no video output. At first I thought that maybe my watt (new card being 600 watts ) amount was too low (despite people having claimed to used it at a lower watt count) but then realizing I wasn't getting video on my old graphics card either which ran perfectly fine on 500 watts. :I After running a few more tests it turns out the wiring in the powersupply was loose. Slight movement would make the damn thing lose power all together.

Anyway. Any suggestions for a power supply? Looking for something about 600-700 watts that wouldn't make my poor ass too much more poor lolololol

You should be able to return it, either to the manufacturer or the distributor.
As for PSUs, I know Antec is supposed to make pretty good ones, though personally, I'm a little loyal to OCZ. I purchased an 800 watt one from them six or seven years ago and I've never had to buy a new one for any of my computer builds since then; it's still running flawlessly and I haven't ever had to worry about not having enough power. It's also very quiet, even after running almost constantly in my machines.
