So, recently I've been feeling really thankful to have met (and made friends with) so many awesome people who wanted to watch my art! I was kind of bummed about my art lately but everyone continued to encourage me! I really wanted to find a way to thank everyone for being so supportive, so I figured it may be about time that I did what most furry artists do at one point or another.
Audience: "Draw porn!?"
Yup.... wait... NO! NOT AT ALL!!! I meant hold a free art raffle! Get your minds out of the gutter! SHEESH!
As of right now, I'm occupied with preparing for two cons at the end of the month, so I'm hoping to draw winners on Sept. 1st.
PRIZE
One (1) free drawing of a character of your choosing.
It can be in detailed pencil or flatcolor digital (cel-shaded if I feel adventurous).
Thus far there will be ONE winner, but if enough people enter, I will either draw two numbers or raise the prize to two sketches.
RULES
I don't want to make it a rule to watch me (I'd rather have someone watch because they actually like what they see) so, this will be ticket based. I'll comment a number to you and if that number is drawn, you win! SIMPLE!

I got my fursona from a nature walk in Wyoming, usa...i went and sat on a boulder while i watched a cute lil white fox playing around, that when i new i wanted to be a fox...

That's really amazing! It sounds like you live in a really wonderful area! I would kind of love to see a mountain lion on a car (even if it was a dangerous situation). @__@ Your area sounds absolutely wondrous!

I already told you about my fursone, Uluri, but I'm a story teller, so
I would like to tell you of my FIRST fursona. This was like... when I was 9.
HIS name is Blizzard He had Ice powers and the ability to fly.
(which is really weird considering how much I hate snow.) I made him the leader
of a team of creatures I now call Rila. I drew comics all over of him saving the world.
I think I made him to be what I've always wanted.
He's a boy, because I was always more boy-ish than... any girl.
I made him fly because I've always wanted to be able to fly and have wings.
He's dark blue because of the same reason Uluri Is... Dark blue is my essence color.
He has the power of snow and ice because I don't, and would have loved to be chill-proof.
He is a really odd looking creature because I didn't think I should have had a normal creature that
represented me. I am weird, I always said.

I wish I could have read the comics too! I really enjoy your comic style! I think you'll be able to do something epic with them some day (or even now)! ... and I'll be able to say that I knew her way back then! XD

Basically, his name is Tesla. His main coat is like a charcoal grey, a very very dark grey, but not jet black. He has LIME green stripes. http://www.tradebags.org/images/201.....-managua-0.jpg Here's a reference for the color. I've pretty picky on the color, so I'd be happy if you could get as close to that as possible. His nose is VERY slightly darker than his fur and his tongue is as well. His pawpads are lime green also and do NOT glow. Behind his ears, instead of there being two white spots like regular tiger's have, they are two lime green paw prints (one on each ear). He wears a neon green glow stick around his neck which is a very important feature for him. My character has the ability to manipulate and produce electricity by channeling energy through his paws. That's HIS special, hidden talent. Mine irl is that I know how to work on cars but no one knows it xD
I came up with him at SwampCon 2013 while an artist was doing a con badge for him and decided to throw me two favorite colors together on the spot. The result is what you see there. I honestly don't think it came out too bad xD
Wow, he came out great! That Lime green is one of my favorite colors! Awesome that he was whipped up at the convention! ^__^

I'm really good at making low gutteral growly noises, muffling them, etc. My roommate this past year in college was working on a video game with a big group online call the Dark Mod and he recorded me so he could use it for monster noises c:

Less of a hilarious joke, more hilarious story. I was walking with Chester back to our hotel the final night after we said bye to you guys and we were about to cross the street with two people in front of us and he goes "Now everyone hold hands when you cross the street" so I looked at him and said "What are you, gay?" He then proceeded to grab me and make out with me in the middle of the street, making the guys in front of us almost fall over laughing :D

Alright, interesting storytime
So originally I actually started off as a squirrel before I knew the fandom existed. When I was in high school I was really energetic, and also way shorter/tinier than I am now, so one of my friends started calling me Sammy the Squirrel, and I was an albino squirrel, which I would draw sometimes. Eventually albino turned into blue, cause I like blue, and then senior year I found the fandom. When I found the fandom I wanted something with a personal connection, which I had basically a best friend cat as a kid, so I switched to kitty and started off with white and grey fur
Not too long after I decided to switch to "Jake" who was a black and red kitty, which stuck around for a few years. The reason for the change after Jake was largely because I felt like I only picked the red and black because I was kinda angsty at the time :P And I wanted it to mean something to me, plus I began to reconcile my gender identity, so I wanted a more neutral name and more feminine character (plus I wanted to be bright and colorful just cause)
So after some thinking I decided on white fur to be colorful, with some grey and black (white, grey, black is also colors for asexuality) I wanted the hair to be the colors of bi pride (while I'm technically asexual, romantically I'm bi) and then I added the rainbow for the sake of being colorful, and because I'm with a guy, and I'm no longer afraid of that. So really, my sona is just supposed to represent me no longer being afraid of myself.

WOW! Sam/Jake went through a lot of transitions! I wish I could have seen the various versions! I love seeing the evolutions of characters! Similarly, my character went through a bunch of dog breeds (and even wolf) before I settled on a goldie, so I know how that goes! I do think it's important to have that personal connection with your character to have something that fully represents you... and it seems that Sam embodies all of that now! ^__^ I loved all these stories! THANKS!!

You have really amazing sketchwork, I know you mentioned it at the con, but I'll say it here anyway, I'd love to see you take a crack at babyfur art, seeing what you can do sketchwise, I thin it has a lot of potential to be amazing and adorable!
It's all good! I just didn't want to force you to do that in case you had reasons you didn't want to post your reference here, so I just left the option open!
Thank you so much for the feedback! You know, I really DO want to try drawing babyfur art! I just haven't really had the chance or have been given commission options to do so! Maybe I'll practice some originals in my free time (assuming I have some) because I DO think they're really cute! (Yours and Chester's designs alone sell the idea to me!)

How I ended up creating Kaioku was I guess an accident in a way.
my sister was doing up reference sheets and I was like "can I have a sona too?"
and I told her I wanted it to be a bunny (I love rabbits) and the colors were supposed to be two green arms (not just the left one) but my sister accidently drew him like that and it kind of stuck that way o.o

Really? Uluri came up with the left green arm on accident? I always really liked it a lot! The asymmetry makes the design really unique! Plus, I do have a love of rabbits! <3

The fursona you see above is my main fursona. She spawned from one of the voices in my head when I was seven who said, "Wouldn't it be awesome to be a fox?" (She's not a fox, she's actually a wolf ) She has transformed over the years to what she is now through meditation!

I got my fursona from my chinese zodiac signs in the normal version I'm the rabbit in the buddahist chinese zodiac which is used in veitnam im the house cat. also love for tenchi myuos cabbits.
I've always loved calico cats and lop eared rabbits to that helped too.
Um I want to see you do more of your chibis in the future but I also love your realistic detail in typical anthros. hmmm also try chibi refs in furture I'm sure you do well!

When I first saw her, the first thing I thought of when I heard cabbit was Ryo-ohki, so that immediately caught my attention, since I always loved her! Your Azao is just a cute!!
