This morning I went to put some money into my debit card when I noticed in my transaction history and attempted purchase that I did not make. It means only one thing….
SOME LOW DOWN DIRTY SCUM STOLE MY CARD NUMBER!
And tried to use it to buy about $100 worth of stuff from this sporting goods place. (at least they try to buy something that would cause me embarrassment)
Well, fortunately for me the slime bags attempt to steal my hard earned money was foiled by the fact that my debit card only had 35 cents on it. It’d be kinda comical if I hadn’t had to cancel my card.

that being said, its amazing how big of a deal identity theft is starting to become here in the us.. might be bad elsewhere but i live in the us so.. thats all i know about.
there was a story a few days ago about some company having a bunch of their checks stolen, then someone was sending the checks out trying to steal peoples bank account numbers. lucky for the people and the company the people called and asked if it was for real.. the fact that the company was a construction company giving out cash money for some sweepstakes or other was an obvious redflag but you know... its all bullshit
